That would be 701 with 4GB onboard + 8GB SDHC card, not the latest 901, which has 12GB onboard (+ Atom + 8.9” LCD + 1.3MP camera + …)

My mistake, it’s actually the Asus EeePC 900 going for $450 there with the Celeron M CPU. Still has Windows XP and 12GB IIRC :)

Retail has dropped to $499 on the EeePC 900, plenty of stock in the channels still!

That’s right. It is 900 with 900Mhz Celeron, not 901 with 1.6Ghz Atom. Big speed difference.

I am just wondering where can I buy the 20GB Linux edition?

ShoppingSquare now have these for $599.95 + delivery. It’s quite steep @ $49 but the cost is CHEAPER than Mwave by $2.90 (for me in Melbourne anyway)

Frankly, i think acer Aspire One is going to take some of the Eeepc hype. So I rekon in 6 months time, the EeePc 901 would drop to half price.
