30pk Hammer n Tongs Draught beer $20 @ 1st Choice

230

Long time viewer first time poster. Go easy.

Was at my local 1st Choice on Saturday and stumbled across this bargain. I've bought it before in stubbies on the odd occasion and don't mind it.
There were too many people lined up for me to enquire whether it is nationwide or just store specific (Springfield Lakes, qld). Can't find an expiry date on the ctn, but bought another 2 ctns tonight quickly.

I drink a bit of beer and I don't mind this in a headmaster glass. At this price it's hard to pass up for a week night thirst quencher. Not boutique I know, so don't roll up to a BBQ with them.

Drank this once and I remember the foul taste but still it has to be better than VB :)

I hate all those rubbish European beers like VB ;-)

Not to mention South African beers.

Well, VB is now a South African beer…

Hammer n Tongs is usually the cheapest full strength beer at liquorland but this is much better than the usual price.

  • Tried a carton of this once… loved it!

  • loved it. nice deal

  • Great Price!!
Just a shame that not even i can stand this beer.

  • Yep, wonder if this is available elsewhere in the country?

Was also available in in SA. Nearly gone now. Apparently price was because of a short date code.

Not bad after the third can. But be aware, these are 330ml cans, not the regular 375ml.

Just read on the side it is made in Vietnam. Asahi get away will selling equally as cheap beer from Thailand for $45..

  • dang we don't have 1st choice here. never understood why it's so hard for me to find this beer considering it's made in tas and i live there.

  • 30 bucks a carton here in wa - jandakot, not everywhere unfortunately :-(
