Looks like one big bonus stage from Sonic 2.

  • EB games price match

    • Thanks, added to description.

  • This game is not very highly rated, this is pretty much its normal price, was good on other systems, I'll skip until $10-20.

    • Yeh, the original was much better. Had a go this weekend (free on Xbox) and the multiplayer is missing a heap compared to the original (10 vs 50 multiplayer games).. Big pass.

      • Was best on the Wii, with gyro controlling.

  • It is $29 from EB Games on PS4.

I used to play the soccer mini game on Super Monkey Ball Deluxe but it appears that the soccer is not included in this version. That was my favourite part of the game :(

  • I've always avoided SMB because it felt like using joystick controls wasn't in the spirit of the game, but using motion controls would be too difficult due to inaccuracy. Thoughts?

The original games (SMB1 and 2) were on the Gamecube and used analog controls so the game was designed for that. This version however is a port of the Wii game which used motion controls. As a result it's extremely generous at times to accommodate the inaccuracy of motion controls. I'm not sure about the Switch version but I've beaten it on PS4 and it felt fine with analog controls, apart from the relatively easy difficulty. The worst part is probably the mini-games, they don't feel quite right without motion controls.

  • Of course when I go and buy a very obscure game (for me) for 49 at eb on Monday it goes on sale 2 days later lol
