I use this Aldi plan in my "work" phone. I'm actually amazed at how little data you use when you only use it for email, chat and work apps. I've used 7GB in the year. I am sure it's fine for many low users.

  • Apart from Boost, Optus is doing a decent deal on their $180 sim; down to $150, which becomes $142.50 with OW price beat.

    • 120gb data
    • Unlimited national calls and text
    • Data rollover
    • 365-day expiry

This deal never stopped. If you have an aldi Sim just recharge $99.

If they run out of this bundle, buy a $2 Sim card, download aldimobile app, do $99 recharge through app. I've did 2-3 years so far

    • why is this upvoted because it's Not true. I don't see any $99 recharge option in the Aldimobile app. Pics or it didn't happen

      • Really 🤦 cbf. Ur obviously not with aldi

I bought a 365 Day Super Pack in-store last December. This morning I installed the ALDI mobile app, and can confirm the app (and online account) also allows for recharging on the 365 Day Super Pack $99 deal online - as per Brettick's screenshot.

But evidently you guys are seeing different options for some reason… I suspect this recharge option is exclusively available who those have used the special voucher from an in-store purchased 365 Day Super Pack. Has anyone else (who started with a different ALDI mobile plan) successfully switched to this plan without ever purchasing the in-store starter pack?

          • @sgltech: He's full of it, I did it for my grandparents recently.

And I've done it for my bro a while ago. It's been like that for years.

Fyi I doubt installing the app without a valid number will show you recharge options. You need an aldi Sim to do it, not just installing the app and checking the options.

            As seug123 pic or didn't happen 😂😂

            • @Bretttick: Last night I sent ALDImobile the following esupport ticket:
"Hypothetically, can any ALDImobile customer choose to recharge on the $99 1 year plan without visiting a store for a starter pack, or is this deal exclusive to those who have bought the $99 1 -year starter pack in-store? I cannot see this deal listed amongst the general recharge options at https://www.aldimobile.com.au/plans/payg/"

This morning, I received the following reply:
"The $99 1 year super pack is available for customers to recharge online who have already purchased the $99 super pack in the past. I can confirm that from 24/06/2020 (for a limited time only while stocks last) the $99 1 year super pack will be available to purchase at any Aldi Store nationwide."

              • @sgltech: I'd take that reply with a grain of salt.

I've recharged $99 on two devices before and I only bought the $2 Sim then recharged for the year, I can confirm it works.

The bundle is the same thing, only difference is they give you a recharge code for the year.

@Bretttick: Bought a $5 sim, can't recharge $99 through internet. Call up the support, they mentioned i need to go to Aldi and buy the super pack, unless i am existing super pack customer.

Poor value, go with Boost or Belong….

Just got one at Aldi Broadway they have an entire box. Ask the counter.

Another comparison because the old one has expired.

You can buy the Belong $40 starter pack for $20 & stay for 12 months using 2 options

    • Option 1 - $80 with 13GB
    • Option 2 - $110 with 91GB

Belong uses the Telstra network as well. Plus you don't have to pay the full amount upfront and have a lot more flexibility.
Also Option 1 only costs $20 with 7GB for the first 6 months.

  • Thanks for letting me aware as jaxon already noted, i got mine from Broadway as well. on my way to work in the morning over the counter :)

  • Out of stock in my area.
What is the next option for low volume users?

I purchased two in-store yesterday, and have since ported my Mum and my Dad to this superpack deal.
In both cases, we opted for 'drivers licence' identify verification, and in both cases, after all was done and submitted, we discovered that the driver's licence identity verification part failed, so an extra step was required logging into the new user account and verifying identity using a credit/debit card. (I'm not sure why drivers licence verification failed for them. It worked fine for me 6 months ago.) If I were to do another signup, I'd probably opt for medicare card or passport identity verification to see if it was more reliable.
In any case, porting happened quickly (5-20 minutes) and we're happy with speed, coverage, price, and flexibility, so all good.

  • If you want to check remaining stock levels, you'll have to visit your local store.
Unfortunately, ALDI stores don't make their phone number public, and they don't make it possible to do stock checks online either.
If your local store is out of stock, you can ask the manager to check the stock at other stores.
I learned this from experience 6 months ago, after faiiling at three shops, asking the manager, then being successful at a fourth (which was a fair way away from home).
This time around, I was at my local ALDI 9:30 am on Wednesday morning to get superpacks for my parents, and while I was there, I confirmed with the manager that the situation re: stockchecking had not improved.

  • Does aldi give the same benefits as Boost? I mean free afl, nrl etc and Google home calling? Belong doesn’t Thanks
