Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro Dual 5G 128GB (6GB) $548 Delivered @ MyMobile eBay

670

Just notice a ebay target offer with deduction of $50 on $500 spend;

And mymobile ebay store has reduced their price for POCO F2 pro for AU $563 + $35 shipping.

Great price with this targert offer:

Order total

Subtotal AU $563.00
Postage AU $35.00
Coupon, Voucher -AU $50.00
Total AU $548.00

The Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro Dual 5G 256GB (8GB) is also available for $700 which will be $650 after the ebay offer. But since I am not a game user, I acutally do not need that.

This probabaly the cheapest price I could see at this moment so far.

I could some people might think of the Redmi k30 pro which the price reduced recently but there is no band B28. So I decide to buy this one.

Poco phones used to be cheaper?

This still pocos a big whole in your wallet…

    • +14

They did, but for this price the specs are really good.

      Snapdragon 865, Adreno 650, 6GB of RAM.

Very good price for the phone considering flagships are double the price for roughly the same specs.

      • i wouldn't mind they add 50 bucks to add amoled, but still, very good price for the spec. i also wish miui could be cleaner.

im rocking a mi 9t and really happy with this phone, except the os.

        • +5

Looks like it has amoled though?

But yeah I guess you could always just install another launcher if MIUI isn't your thing, but as long as the phone performs and you're happy with it overall then that's the main part :)

Does the 9T have MIUI 12? I've heard it's meant to be not bad.

          • +2

@mangobango: oh this is amoled? nice! maybe i confused with the poco f2 non-pro?

my 9t still on miui 11. and tbh, miui isn't too horrible but i want cleaner rom and they still comes with tons of bloatwares. also the 4000 battery gives me less screen on time than my Moto z play's 3500 battery. not overly an apple to apple comparison but i think miui (the rom) is doing sth at the back.

but hey, what can i complaint with that price tag.

            • @Tyler Kwok: Yeah there's one called the Poco X2 which only has an LCD screen. Xiaomi are pretty notorious for having a million different names for products though so it's easy to get confused!

If you want a cleaner rom, I believe this site is dedicated to getting rid of bloatware if you want to go through the hassle of flashing it and whatnot https://xiaomi.eu/community/

Shame to hear about the battery though, how much SOT are you getting? I got an Oppo A52 and that's giving me around 9 hours.

              • +1

@mangobango: didn't measure sot much coz watching YouTube and playing gpu intensive game would yield different sot. maybe 5 hours?

i have disabled (can't delete) those bloatwares and am too lazy to do anything more to get rid of them.

happy to wait for the poco to drop further more since i don't need a new phone for now.

              • @mangobango: The X2 does have the advantage of a MicroSD slot and 120hz screen, for the record.

            • @Tyler Kwok: My mi 9t got miui12 yesterday.. I use nova launcher over the top and quite like it

    $35 shipping is highway robbery.

    • It is shipped from overseas. How much does shipping cost from HK?

      • +4

Mymobile ships it twice actually. Once from HK to their Brisbane store. Next from their store to you. They told me they have to do it this way, maybe a tax thing.

        • maybe they inspect it

        • Might explain why they can provide tax invoice with GST for grey imports.

  • Any flagship spec phone which still has headphone jack?

    • +1

      LG probably. V50/G8S

I think Sony's flagships also have the jack but price/availability may be an issue.

    • +3

Actually this one has 3.5 headphone jack

    • Oppo Reno Z still has one

      • Hardly a flagship phone, coming from someone who owns one, especially after Color OS / Android 10 update.

        • As someone who also owns one, it's one step down from the Reno.

Besides, what's so bad about the latest update? Try being stuck on Colour OS 6 :/

  • +6

Wow. amazing price. I only purchased mine early June for about $680 which was relatively cheap at the time.

I'm really happy with the phone, especially after the recent update to Miui 12 which seems to make the phone feel smoother.

Speed is amazing, battery life is great, the 33 watt charing lets you plug in for 10 mins and get around 25% extra charge.

At $548 I don't think there's any other phone giving you such bang for your buck

  • +1

This or the Oppo Reno 5G 256GB, for $50 more ?

    • Reno is SDM655 isn't it.
      More storage though.

      • +1

        SD855

    • +2

I'll probably buy the Reno just cause you're more likely to find a store that will fix Oppo phones.

      • Good point. I've been blessed with hassle free phone's so that's something I never think about. Touch wood…

How does one get these eBay targeted offers, the only emails I ever get from eBay are when I buy something.
Do I need to re-subscribe to their other spam to receive targeted offers?

    • Just don't buy anything for ages.

  • +1

I've bought the 8GB version from Mymobile a few weeks ago, really happy with it so far.

  • Thanks op been waiting on a good price on this fone.

  • +1

How's the camera performance ? GSM review on camera is not that great specially with night photography.

  • -1

"Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro Dual 5G 256GB (8GB) is also available for $700 which will be $650 after the ebay offer"

How do I get this price? At the checkout, I get $735.

  • -2

Great phone but how do you go using a phone that weighs 219g? Ridiculous weight.

    • +3

25 hours video playback is also ridiculous :)

    • +2

      do you even lift?!

    • +2

You're skinny bro, aye you better lift some weights man you're skinny as hell. Aye you're built like a senior citizen.

    • Shame people have negged, it really is quite heavy. Combined with its width it makes it quite unwieldy for one handed use.

      Source: I own one

  • I bought this phone direct from their website 6 weeks ago for $715 and there's already a big discount :(

  • -1

    this, nord or 6t?

    • +1

      At this price, the Poco.

Seems better spec'd than the others https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9350&idPhone2…

That being said, you can get the 6T for around $80 or so less on TobyDeals, but the Poco is more recent so it will theoretically be supported for longer.

      • +4

Don't forget that Pocophone warranty is in Australia. You don't need to send it overseas.
With TobyDeals you can't expect any warranty. I have not found evidence of anyone successfully obtaining a warranty from TobyDeals, ever!

No warranty means you might be left with 219gr paperweight.

        • Yep exactly.

If a phone is cheap enough then I'd take the gamble, but considering the options it's better to just go with the local warranty.

  • Where do you get this 50$ discount?

    • @LeoDMD
      I didn't get an email.
But down a bit in the eBay listing I see this:

Pay only AU $513.00 [ Show me how ]

I think you need to be logged into your eBay a/c.
      Do you see it?

      • I'm logged on my eBay account. I can't see the "show me how" part that details the discount voucher. I wonder if this is a targeted offer?

        • Yes it's targeted, hence why it's tagged as such.

  • For people who cannot use $50 eBay voucher, here is another seller with slightly higher price $579 for the same phone + free priority delivery.
    https://www.becextech.com.au/catalog/xpf2prd5g128ggrey-ins-p…
I have not purchased from them but looks good deal. Worth checking with them if they have stock in AU else the shipping is going to take few days.

    • +1

      Showing as $74.95 delivery

    • Also becextech has a terrible rep on ozb. They sell phones via catch now and I almost got one at a great price until I saw

      • Are they listing the F2 on Catch?

        • Don't know sorry, just talking generally about the seller, regardless of which phone it is. They could be better now but thought I'd mention their history

  • Super AMOLED Display so this phone seems to check all the boxes

  • These are a cheap emulation handheld console.. lol. Plays everything up to PS2/Wii/3DS on the go.

    • +6

Feel free to post a deal on an Aussie made phone. Or a Kiwi phone.

      • Hell, I'd even settle for someone showing me any phone not made in China. Let alone Australia lol

        • +2

All Samsung phones are made in Vietnam.

      • Wtf is a kiwi phone?

      • I use Kiwi browser, does that count?

    • +2

Use a Chinese phone and American software. Balance out the spyware a bit.

  • Price has been jacked to $594.92 plus delivery now.

  • Any latest snapdragon processor phone with 90 or 120 refresh rate, amoled and headphone jack?

  • Night mode on this phone isnt that good

  • what's the difference between this one and this previous deal that was posted? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/552686

    • that deal is showing $534 delivered in Sydney.

  • +1

Do these things get any warranty?
