Bridgestone have released what they call a road hazard warranty on all their tyres. In short it means if you accidentally damage your tyre and it requires premature replacement (isn't worn out) they replace it FOR FREE!!! Or at a pro rata rate if its more than 10% worn out.
I initially thought it was a bit of a gimmick and then hit a storm water drain and cut the side wall on my new $220 front tyre. Went back and they replaced it at no cost. Some people may see this as a marginal bargain but I've replaced a couple of tyres before they have worn out especially due to sidewall damage so I thought it worth posting.
It not savings right now but it might save some people money over the life of the tyre :)
Bob Jane have something similar. I once damaged a tyre and they replaced it even though the tyre was pretty old. I didnt even know about the warranty - I had actually gone in to buy a new tyre to replace the broken one and they told me about it.
