I was looking for some storage containers and saw these at Woolies. Good quality brand that seals well, will last a while if you look after them. However, I wanted glass so ended up getting some at Target instead, where they also have a great deal going.

Agree 100%. I have a whole cupboard full of the old style that stacks perfectly so I don't need to have a cupboard/drawer full of mismatching containers.No chance I will buy the clip-its again if they won't stack with what I have already. The containers aren't good enough for that, I would rather replace with something better if they aren't going to stack with the old style either way.
This is exactly how I feel, I don't think it was a wise move to change the shape of them, the whole point of going for a single system is that you can mix-match. The quality of these isn't that good to start again.
Although I can understand from a marketing perspective - make people pay more money!
… unless there is some technical reason why they made the change (the seals will stop falling out for example?)
The seals are meant to be spill proof or liquid tight now. The old ones weren’t.
