Seem to be the same as the $35 Kambrook ones (http://www.kambrook.com.au/kitchen/littlechefs.html), just re-branded.

Cheaper than Aldi :)

  • Thanks. Might grab the waffle maker. You are probably right about the rebranding of the product as the waffle maker seems similar

      Mmmmmmm, Waffle Run-Off.

    • i can vouch for the waffle maker. I bought one last time these were on sale and I love it. works well, although ideally the waffles could be deeper/thicker

  • Mmmm, popcorn. Tempting

  • Last popcorn maker I had burst into flames… never again

That can happen if there is too much corn put in (not saying that was your problem, but it may have been). I've had one for years just like this one and never had a problem.

Just a tip for the rest, the donut maker is a disappointment (they don't taste anything like a donut), but the heart shaped waffle maker is great, and the kids love it. Just make sure to lightly oil surface before hand otherwise they stick.

  • No wonder kids are getting fat…

Could even use the $10 popcorn maker to roast your own coffee beans. Easy diy style instructions for the roasting are easy to find online… me, personally, I'll probably keep buying the roasted beans from my local cafe and grind them as I need them.

But for $10, I am tempted.

+1 On the "$10 popcorn maker to roast your own coffee beans". The model on offer looks to be the better one for roasting too! -Has a higher wattage than some I think. Check the box/label to confirm.

mduncan2, give it a go! Home roasting is fun and given that roasted coffee is around 4X the price of green, you will make your $10 back in your first three roasts. But you should have a good grinder rather than a spice chopper to make for an even particle size for even extraction.

    • We sell a really good Coffee grinder for $29.95: http://www.esold.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id…

I use it myself and its a little beauty!

      • Wow, cheap (and looks it) but not a "conical" burr. Does that mean it just has a single spinning wheel?
Quick google says they are still better than a blade grinder.

    • Just bought one, its the correct type for roasting coffee with the side vents near the bottom. The wattage is 1200w.

      • Yep that sounds good for coffee. I had a 900-1100w and it did not do as good a job (20 minutes to first crack) as my 1200w Tiffany (5-8 minutes).

I just bought the popcorn maker not realising that u can't pour butter into it. its on fire now :(

  • these look to be the same ones that are in kmart. I think they are the same price as well. not gonna neg, but i think these were always $10 from previous years as we always buy these for secret santa and etc for work functions.

    • $12 at K-Mart I think.

      • Yes and they have a few other ones on offer too. I.e. a muffin maker, pancake maker. But the dutch pancake maker from Big W is excellent, mum loved it. =D
