There is a literal snotload (hah!) of games on sale at gog.com. Too many to list. Direct link to the games is http://www.gog.com/x11 and the games a USD3 or USD5, depending on the game.

These are all old games spanning the last 20 years or so of gaming.

For me, some standouts for USD3 are: Alpha Centauri, Sim City, Oddworld Abe's Oddysee, Oddworld Abe's Exoddus

USD5: Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (hell all games uptil 4 are available as well as the entire might and magic series), Oddworld Strangers Wrath

It should be noted that the Activision games are only on sale till 26/12/2011.

Whilst some of these are available on Steam, if you like your games DRM free this is a good place to get them. :)

Shipping costs depend on how much you pay for your internets. ;)

They are having some issues with the load all this love is generating so if things go a little wibbly for you, have patience. Usually all it takes is a reload a minute or so later.

    FYI: The discount price only shows up on the product page, not in the catalogue.

    So don't be put off by the price as, in most cases, it's half the listed catalogue price.

      Considering GOG sent out a email to newsletter subscribers a week ago telling us about the upcoming sale, it's not much of a "prediction".

        Really? I'm on the newsletter and get informed of sales but did not get one in advance of the sale (stumbled on the notice on their site) and still do not have one now that the sale has started. I expect to get one on Friday as they is the usual MO.

          It was the one sent a couple of days before the start of the Witcher/Witcher 2 bundle offer (which ended just before this sale started).

          Maybe everyone didn't get it? Or a spam filter swallowed it?

          Well since we dont allow advance warnings on sales/bargains - ie have to be active (or very close), then the CIA is an appropriate forum.

          It doesnt have to be exclusive news - like you cant find out from somewhere else. I suppose the "prediction" word I used maybe a little over the top. "Advised" probably better

    I tried to go there a few hours ago and it was down for maintenance. Just now it is up, but my order is not going through. They must not be coping with the load.
