    Picked one up, thanks OP

Anyone know if this is good/decent for face as well?

    • Yeah I use it on my face just fine

Anyone else get a real burning sensation and/or itching after using this on sunburn? Perhaps the alcohol they now have in it? Worked well a week after a bad sunburn when the peeling started at least.

    • +12

Possibly it would be the sunburn

    • +1

It is the alcohol. The only aloe vera gel without alcohol I could find at my local Woolies was by Thursday Plantation. It looks like there are more non-alcohol ones on Amazon.

Wow downvotes for that? Really? Oh some that means I'm wrong and the alcohol mixed with the sunburn isn't causing the pain? Wow ok delusions.

      • No idea why anyone would down vote you. Alcohol is drying, there's no way I'd want to put it on my sunburn.

        • For years I've seen everyone say use it for sunburn and when I did… yeah didn't realise the alcohol. Sounds like it never had it originally.

@Clear: Yeah I have an old tube in the fridge and just checked it, no alcohol. It was great on sunburn, instant relief and really soothed it. I wanted to buy more as it's now run out but I don't want alcohol in it so I will just use sorbelene.

            • @subywagon: That would explain it. Why would they add alcohol?

              • +1

@Clear: I have no idea. Everything I've read states alcohol is bad for sunburn and dries it out.

This is great for when you are hungover and need your face alive

Passed on from a previous roommate and now passed on via the digital realm. Enjoy.

    Step 1, prevent sunburn

  • Looks to be out of stock 😤

I have to say that I never see anyone in Australia stupid enough to be sunburnt. Head to Spain during June to September and you'll find one out of two are sunburnt and they're all Brits.

    • A lesson in weather outside miserable UK lol.

This stuff really doesn't work. Feels good but is bad for your skin.

  • +2

Also found it caused itchiness , & Aloe Vera proportion isn't high enough.

https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/56769/plunkett-aloe-… for sunburn. Definitely not a "deal", but definitely worth it.

  • Too late :( Thanks anyway for sharing

    • Available again if you are quick.
