    • Both are good cameras but I'd do this,lets say you are up to spend 1k(the D90) I'd take the 550d and do this,
      flog the kit lens on Ebay and buy a nifty 50mm 1.8 or a Sigma 1.4, keep the 55-250 kit lens, its an ok lens then start saving for a Tokino 11-16 or a Canon 17-40 F4…, you can probably add one or the other for under 1500 and you would be set for lenses, the Nikon does have some better features but i like the video on the 550d and a few other things, camera bodies come and go and the new Nikons are apparently so much better than this one but lenses are the key.
