update guys,

after one of member jerry mentioned about can't find the fare that quoted on this promotion, i have made comparison, seems zuji.com.au is really cheaper than travel.com.au
for 2 people might save you around $30 each and remember do your price beat with flight centre and use your $50 birthday voucher from them just realize their birthday voucher expiry date only 3 months now, not 12 months like previous voucher that i got.

it seems this fare only for up to 3 weeks travel only

  • What are the prices like normally? It looks like a saving of ~$200 each if you were flying with Singapore in Feb (looking at Melb->Hanoi or Melb->Tokyo)

  • I just recently paid for my flights to Singapore (from Brisbane) during mid feb. I went through STA Travel and got student fares but still ended up around 880-890$. These prices are good.

  • Was looking at buying tickets for Melbourne->Singapore->Hong Kong return. It's a saving of about $200, but I would like to do a stop over in Singapore for a few nights (on the way to Hong Kong). Is this possible? When I try to book the flight it won't let me choose when the flight from Singapore to Hong Kong will be :(

    • try check with zuji and expedia, their website can do stop over trip and multi city trip, with travel.com.au u have to call their call centre
      or try this byojet.com.au
then price beat with flight centre

    • Last time i flew SIA, I couldn't figure out how to do the singapore stopover without it costing the earth. So i just rang up a travel agent and told them what i wanted, when i wanted it. They did it all for me for the same price as the web.

When you do a singapore stopover, book your hotels through SIA with you flight details. Its a deal within SIA to promote Singapore and its significantly cheaper.

Zuji and expedia will count them as separate flights and will usually end up costing more. Whereas this is an all inclusive special to your final destination.

not really mate, i have done many times, it come up same as sq result and cheaper $25-50/booking and if i combined with price beat with flight centre, i might save around $100, inclusive free credit card fee from flight centre :)

        • Can you do this with J? coz choosing multistop option on zuji is the only way i know and that doesnt let you choose class of ticket the last time i looked…..

        • try byojet.com.au as well

        • Thanks m8, but geez that byojet charges admin fee, qantas convenience fee and then 1.9% CC fee which makes it more expensive than booking on the qantas website it self! plus you have to create an account and divulge all your details………

Definitely recommend this. After taking multiple trips to the Philippines, these prices are unbeatable, as long as you have a friend. SA are usually 1K+, and the service has always been excellent. Suggest that OP adds "FREE SINGAPORE SLINGS ON ALL FLIGHTS" to post.

    • not enough space mate :)

    • Suggest that OP adds
"FREE BOARDING PASS ON ALL FLIGHTS"
      "FREE CHECKIN FOR ALL FLIGHTS"
"FREE USE OF OVERHEAD BINS ON ALL FLIGHTS"
      :)

    • Those singapore slings are SOOOOOOOOOOOO good aren't they? Good food, good service, can't beat it.

      • Absolutely. Way too tasty. Only beef is that the air stewardess won't give you the whole bottle/juice. :(

Ah crap….already booked my ticket to hong kong a while back when Cathay was doing the $750 promo. I would rather fly SQ because seat are recline-able.

  • +1

shiiiizer! I bought mine a month ago and it was 400 dollars more expensive per ticket (on SIA website). But how are my partner and I to know? Shite shite shite!

    • Try to contact Singapore airlines, and see if they have price guarantee offer.

  • is it 751 / person or 751 for 2 ?

    • -3

      read the post.

      • +3

I tried reading it, it's very confusing. If it is 2 for 1, BOGOF, etc. Why not put that?

Who is this guy? Yoda? "At Least 2 People Booked you will get"

        • 751 per person. Airasia FTW

  • About $150 cheaper than I saw just last night to Seoul, now I just need to find a friend :_(
On the +, I checked zuji & Webjet last night & neither of them gave me the huge number of other choices that travel.com.au gave me just now - good find.

  • any destination in Europe? I am looking for a flight for two to London or Paris in June.

    • Looking to fly back in March-April ….Europe with preference Zurich / Rome / Vienna / Frankfurt

      • Thx for advices, but when I want to book around a month, seems like the discount is invalid. For example, 8/04 - 11/05 cost $982!

        • i found depart 11 apr and return 2 may below 800

seems this is for 3 weeks ticket only mate

  • seems a lot of SQ fans in here :) but i also fans of SQ compare than other airlines. Their service is really unbeatable.

    • +1

I wasn't going to comment on their service here as I do not want to neg their post. But I would have to seriously disagree with their service. Even Singaporeans think that Singapore Airlines service is atrocious - try calling them up. Personally, I received extremely bad service from them and was forced to pay an extra c.A$350/person on something because of a "website glitch"… am currently seeking through legal means to get this back but they were extremely unapologizing for their mistake.

      • SQ is renowned for its world class service. It is not one of the best airlines in the world for no reason and what happened with you could be an isolated incident, but surely you can't generalise. I have flown SQ more than 20 times and I can vouch for their superior service - it's in a league above the rest.

        • Admittedly they have good inflight service and I have flown them a number of times (both for work and personal) and that's why I expected better. But in terms of support services it is sorely lacking and I spoke with a number of people. No one could/willing to give me a proper response and I have it in writing that it was their mistake and all they offered me was a few measly points as a "token of goodwill" but they were going to great lengths to ensure that it was not "compensation"… I told them that I would pay the full amount and I would not accept this "goodwill" as it was rather condescending. I have read on quite a few other forums that they do not take complaints seriously so I do not believe my incident was isolated.

In terms of service though, in my opinion I wouldn't say that it's in a league above the rest. Qantas, Etihad and Cathay Pacific are also up there and I believe are definitely better.

      • "Even Singaporeans think that Singapore Airlines service is atrocious"

Don't generalise. I'm Singaporean, and I think Singapore Airlines' service is one of the best of all the airlines I've travelled in :)

  • Good find!

Though departure dates is on Easter Monday…

Checked flights to Tokyo, leaving just before Easter (Thursday)

    Cathay came up with $1150
    http://www.travel.com.au/flightsearch/search?f1_origin=1&f1_…

    Cathay's service is quite good.

  • now the questions is, has anyone successfully make a book and received confirmation for that price with travel.com.au?

    • read my previous comment, zuji give u better price. cheaper than travel.com.au ads price. just bear in mind this is 3 weeks ticket only

  • This is a 3 weeks ticket only. I used zuji. Quoted $897 for 4 weeks and $813 for three weeks for are return trip to hong kong stop over in Singapore.

  • Good find - handy to note that Virgin Australia Gold or Platinum FF can access the Singapore Airlines lounges… http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/at-the-airpo…

  • Before booking, compare the price with booking direct on SIA site. For my flights, SIA site was cheaper.

    • compare with zuji.com.au and byojet.com.au
