Has anyone purchased and used these? Can you really get fast charging outside of USB-C?

    • +2

I got one and used to charge iPhone 11 Pro Max. Issue I have with the charger is it emits high pitched electrical noise when charging. Otherwise than that work well and charges the phone in 25-30mins when half empty.

Can you really get fast charging outside of USB-C?

      You're thinking USB-PD. No issues with QC3 on USB-A.

    • ahhhh ok thanks both for the info. @omarko sounds like enough of a reason to avoid this I think.

I bought the four pack of the black ones a few weeks ago and no problems with fast and slow charging of any of my devices which include two iPads, various Android phones and tablets too. No high pitched electrical noise with the three chargers I've used so far out of the four.

      • how much watts is the charger?

would this do super fast charging ie 25W like the samsung 25w chargers?

        • Well it is supposed to be 18W, but reading the side of the charger right now, the output says 5V 3A, 9V 2A and 12V 1.5A.

As for super fast charging I haven't used my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus charger yet, but this does seem fast but I personally doubt it would be as fast as that due to the lower watts rating. You can buy more powerful versions of these el cheapo chargers tho. I have different branded 30W and 60W ones too.

yeah all those values indicate it can only do 18W..

            this is the 25w samsung
            https://www.sammobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/samsung…

18w means it won't be showing the super fast charging message on the samsung phone..

yeah but it needs to support pps or it won't charge the samsung phones at super fast charging rate.
which other brands do you have and got a link for them?
can you test if the those 30w or 60w would get super fast charging message showing your note 10?

is the charger for your note 10…25w or 45w?

            • @pinkybrain: Unfortunately at the moment I can't test any other charger, I'll try to do it later.

The phone comes with the 25w charger in the box, the 45w has to be purchased separately.

The 30w one is a WikDJ branded one and the 60w one is a multiple port charger which is RAVPower branded, both were bought from Amazon too.

  • How does one attain these prices? They’re showing higher prices on the links. Eg 1 piece white is $9.99?
