Was looking for this one but deterred by the privacy breach they had few weeks ago :(

That's actually a good thing, it already happened, now they'll reinforce their security. Be glad you weren't caught in it and that you'll have better security from now on :)

Pretty strong mental gymnastics required to believe a privacy breach was a good thing. If it happened before due to negligibility, it most certainly will happen again.

          Lol?
Do we not evolve through necessity?
I will proceed to apologize on behalf of EUFY for not going to a psychic.

Dude, shit happens, not everything's predictable. Could they have tried harder? for sure, will try try harder now? Definitely.

  • If you have a homebase already, this deal might be worth it, brings it down to about $201.5

Thanks for pointing that out, but I think this one is even cheaper (for those with a Bing Lee nearby).

      • Remember you can price match at OW to get better price.

  • Wondering whether to get this or the Eufy camera floodlight for the front porch, any opinions of which is better to use, or both?

    • +4

The doorbell and the floodlight are quite different products. I have both, but it's hard to make a recommendation without knowing your intended use.

This doorbell is battery powered (although you can hardwire it), stores video on the Home Base, and is a doorbell (but not a floodlight).

The floodlight is mains powered (and should be installed by an electrician), stores video in its own internal memory, and is a floodlight (but not a doorbell).

  • Eufy at EOFY prices!

  • 10% CB takes it down to $225! Might have to pull the trigger on this! Thanks OP.

  • Love this doorbell. I've owned mine for maybe a year now, currently on 20% battery on just its second charge. Notifications are instant when connected on the same network, maybe a couple seconds delayed when away from home. Quality is very good, motion sensor notifications are good, catches the person's face before they even realise there's a doorbell there. Never had a false notification. And I personally think it's the best looking video doorbell on the market but that's just me.
