One of the limited number of items they will ship internationally, amazing price compared to local.

DSE quoted their minimum price ever as $428. Best staticice online price here is over $350 delivered.

I believe this has a multi-voltage PSU but you will need an adapter or a replacement "figure 8" power cable which will cost a few dollars in your local $2 shop or from ebay.

  • Absolute steal of a price. I reckon delivery alone would cost you $200 lol.

  • Calling logitechshop…

I won't hold out for them. Last time DSE had the Driving Force GT for $89, LTS didn't price match or price beat.

  • Might want to be careful if you have a defective unit.

I bought one with defective force feedback and got it replaced at store with a new one.
Wouldn't be o cost effective if you had to RMA it.

Still gave it a positive since its a good price.

    • Was wondering what the go was with faulty unit or warranty claim… postage cost back would rule anything out so you are basically buying with no warranty on anything from Amazon??
Unless there is other arrangements then how can a zero warranty product ever be a bargain??

      • Amazon just acts as an authorized reseller. Possibly not even in all cases, but if so they provide you with a valid receipt showing that you are the original purchaser and covered for U.S manufacturer warranty. Whether or not that company provides international warranty coverage or allows your warranty to be transferred depends on the manufacturer.

In Logitech's case you will have to send it back to Logitech US for claims. Its not that shocking when you think that logitech distributors here in Australia do not want to replace a product that they did not receive income for. Self distributing companies like Bose and Dell are more likely to provide worldwide coverage but otherwise.. its pretty rare.

      • Yes, unfortunately our products do not have an International Warranty - so you would need to check with amazon or the reseller as to what Warranty provisions are provided and any terms/conditions etc. Also check what you need for power requirements as different units might have different adaptors etc from various countries. The G27 is a heavy/bulky unit

  • Fantastic wheel at a even more fantastic price. I got mine for around $320 from Logitech Shop a year or so ago and I thought that was a great price. This is quite crazy considering it's delivered - the box is actually quite big.

If you want local stock, keep an eye on Logitech Shop. They regularly have it on sale.

    Waits for bargaincrypt (LTS)

    • Come on LTS, you can do it!

    • guys, you are true fans of LTS. but please dont forget LTS is not charity organisation. it is simply business for profit.

      • errr, don't think they were giving them away

  • not xbox compatible from reviews. otherwise, it'd be good to go.

the XCM F-1 Converter can convert it to 360.

      • pretty pricey

        • Yes it seems to be, but I guess if you already have the G27, there's no point buying the inferior Xbox wheel. Damn you OzBargain, now I have the need to buy the G27, the XCM F-1 converter and Forza 4!

      • +1

The converter is no replacement for a wheel developed specifically for the xbox. Its laggy and merely imitates a controller rumble as opposed to actual force feedback.

Loving Amazon's deals at the moment!

  • Can u use this for PS3 and 360 or JUST PC??

    • +1

Can you read the comment TWO above yours?

Then, if you bother to actually click on the product and read the very deceptively named:

      Product Description
      From the Manufacturer

You'll probably find all your answers. I agree that posters should include a good level of details, but this has been posted many many times before and it isn't up to him to list every spec when it is on the linked site.

    • PS3 + PC, not 360 without an adapter (see above). That adapter is pretty clever by the way!

    • PS3 and PC without a converter as linked above.

However, this is the new pinnacle of wheels (http://fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=270)
With pedals its around ~$500 US I think, so you could buy 2 of the Logitechs.

Still a ripper price, and I think Logitech products have a global warranty.
      http://www.logitech.com/en-au/footer/terms-of-use/&id=3101

"To make a claim under this warranty you should return the hardware to the place of purchase or to Logitech Australia with proof of original purchase such as a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt. Any expense of claiming under this warranty will be borne by you."

      • This is true if your item is covered under Logitech Australian Warranty. 'The Place of Purchase' does not refer to Amazon or Logitech US. Its referring to returning it to an Australian retailer as per the Australian consumer guarantees or to Logitech Australia. This is not applicable to products purchased elsewhere.

      • @ V1p3r the place of purchase would therefore be amazon.com and/or the reseller offering the item.

    • +3

I take it you're new here. LOL

Perhaps you can point out where I said shipping was free?

    • +1

no one said shipping was free… if you own a 28degree ccard the total should equal AUD $244

    • +1

Question, where does it say that delivery is free? OP's post states that it's approv $251 delivered which matches your calculation above.

I haven't ordered from Amazon before so can't make a comment on it.

      • i ordered from amazon us before. the delivery is VERY QUICK!!!! 11aud shipping for my variant brim helmet.

  • +2

"DSE quoted their minimum price ever as $428". This is definitely not accurate as I know my local DSE (and it was in the catalogue anyway) had it for $299. This was less than 2 months ago from memory.

    • This is a great price! As turbodude said, 3 weeks ago I saw DSE (richmond) have a floor sale on these for $299 (Save $200). I would definitely have bought it there and then if I liked driving sims.

  • +1

Does this require external power? Do you need a transformer?

    • +1

Yes, it does and you will. I got one from Amazon for Christmas and had exactly this issue.

    • Yes it requires external power, please check with amazon and/or the resellers as to what is included and/or what is required for use in Australia

  • The wheel feels great but I've had issues with quality. I play Dirt 3 and have had my wheel replaced 3 times due to the gear module failing. It's broken again now and I've been waiting 4 weeks while the ticket has been escalated to 'higher level support'.

    • I have played Dirt3 heaps on my G25 (older model) with no issues. I wonder if the G25 is somehow stronger than the G27??? Anyone elese with issues???

    • Do Logitech ever just replace the defective G27 or just repair the 'lemon', leaving you waiting for the turn around?

      • @ Wally we don't have repair facilities in Australia. If required the unit/s are replaced.

    • @ ProggerPete please email your case ID to [email protected] so the team can follow up where it's at.

  • Lols, ordered. Amazon will get the USA out of GFC inflicted deficit by selling goods to Ozbargainers!

There's a conspiracy here to be found..

  • -1

If I buy this from amazon will the warranty be covered here? is it 12 months?

Also I just need to buy a power cord thats it, its uni power correct?

    • no

      • Not USB powered. It plugs into a powerpoint.
Lights still go on when you plug in USB but no force feedback unless you plug in powerpoint.

        • -1

          So no warranty here

How do I get it to work then if it needs a US type plug. Do I just buy a 9v Aust one and use it?

    • Did you actually read the first post at all?

  • Great price. I bought the G25 years ago because it was the only wheel that let you put the gearshift on the left side where it belongs!

  • +1

    AC Input: 100 - 240Vac, 50-60 Hz, 1.0 Amp maximum
    DC Output: 24Vdc, 1.75 A

  • Awesome deal

Recommend this for the car enthusiasts gamer

  • Ordered! Wow… estimated delivery date is the 15th of February… that's faster than I'd expect australian sellers to deliver…

  • Is it worth it for someone who doesn't play driving games often?

    • Why buy if you are not going to use it.

      • I've always played using a joystick - didn't find it a lot of fun. I'm wondering how close it is to the real thing (racing). If it gets the adrenaline going, and gives the arms a good workout after a few races, would be very much into this deal.

        Don't have a PS3 btw, only a PC.

        • I also didn't like driving games using a joystick or controller. Tried a basic wheel in a shop and was similarly unimpressed. It is not until you use a wheel like this with force-feedback that "fights" you as you turn into corners, and rumbles as you go over various road surfaces that you will truly appreciate these games. In my case I can barely complete a lap without it. All my friends that I have let try my wheel have gone away giggling like a schoolgirl… they seemed to love the experience. If you can afford it, I think you will like it. If you don't I'm sure someone would buy it off you.

        • Thanks for the description. Is it worth buying a seat/stand for it? Looking at an extra $200-300. Without it installation of the wheel would be a challenge.

        • these beat using a joystick hands down. but if you're not really into driving sims, it may be an unnecessary expense. having an actual wheel, pedals and gear stick are all of course more realistic than tapping buttons.

mounting is issue with these as you need a decent surface. wheel stand pros seem to be popular. you may also want to check out an apiga (http://www.apiga.com.hk/en/ap2.html). i have one of these and love it.

        • This rig looks pretty nice. Did you get it locally or have to ship it in yourself? How much does it work out to in Aussie Dollars?

  • I always wanted one but have nowhere to put it, so I resisted the urge. There are plenty of rigs on youtube to check out. Probably wouldn't go that route unless you are a pretty avid gamer, especially with racing sims. The unit is designed to clamp onto the edge of your dining table etc. Personally, I just bought a single saw horse http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_geelong-sales-tw… from Bunnings or Super Cheap Auto and semi-permanently mounted it on there. I can fold it up when not in use, and it is pretty sturdy and a good height when in use. The advantage of a complete rig is that the bits don't move around when you start getting violent with your turns, and it becomes more like an immersive car simulator than a computer game. Otherwise, it's pretty frustrating when you're sitting in a swivel chair and your pedals start creeping away from you…

  • I got mine at a recent Logitech au. sale for $299. Built a stand for it and the pedals, cost about $80 to build including paint. Love it! Just bolt it to a computer desk and do something nice with the pedals and you are racing, if you are no good with building stuff.
