Good price, i paid around 175 about a month ago :) But can agree very good Cam, only fault is the hard-wired cable into the back of the unit, but thats more a portability issue, once its setup its solid

I will say tho it seems all the new ones also dont seem to come with the tripod stand, seems to not be mentioned anymore on the descriptions for them, just for anyone watching reviews online from when it launched, it originally came with a tripod,

I never got a tripod with mine, but it has a tripod mount

  • I like mine good camera.

Have this, paid too much for this by that time 😂
    Very good cam.

From some reviews, this cam isn't too good?

    • +2

I have it, and I love it, especially the audio and video quality.

I bought mine before lockdown (soon after they were released) and have found it to be very good for the price. Plenty of Youtube videos comparing the video and audio quality with other webcams and it usually compares favourably. IMHO this is one of the best webcams for online meetings, video conferencing etc. Works well with OBS studio, zoom, green screens etc. But if you want to record or stream full HD footage get a DSLR with a capture card - I have a Sony A6400 with a elgato capture card but this setup cost a lot more than a webcam and I am not convinced the improvement in quality is worth the huge difference in cost unless you are aiming to create a lot of high resolution video content.

I got the 4K Brio which is ok for now.

  • Ouch. I paid a lot more… great quality webcam tho and good for this price.

  • Is anyone using it with Linux?

    • +1

Mine is running in Ubuntu feeding into Octoprint to keep an eye on my 3d prints if that helps

I recently bought OBSBOT mini , its way advanced than these Logitech and almost the same price range

      They are about $250 ?

      • 210AUD right now and they have tracking feature as well + gimble .
Do you think it justifies that price ?

        • Link please?
          I can only see $250

        • $159 USD + $10 USD flat rate shipping + gst as shipped from outside australia? That's not $210 AUD :')

          • -3

@DarkNexy: I did not include shipping of Fedex in it , yes including that 223.05AUD.

I am not affiliated to seller in anyway, I was just suggesting options based on my usage.

            • @gareeb: It comes to around ~$245 AUD including gst&shipping

              • @DarkNexy: mate i have ordered and got it delivered , there was no GST , I was billed 223.05AUD

                • @gareeb: Then for around $70 more than the logitech doesnt deserve a neg on this post.

Most people arent really gona use the PTZ feature anyway. I'ld rather get the logitech with 1080p 60fps (with the cheaper pricetag) over a 1080p 30fps ptz webcam. Just my 2cents.

Hell if anyone wants a decent 1080p 60fps budget webcam, ild suggest the JIFFY webcam on amazon for $59.99 tbh.

I got this before covid lockdown and it was trash so I returned it.
I ended up getting a capture card and using my dslr as a webcam which is much better.
the fact the cable is prewired also sucks

    • I tried setting up my canon 600D dslr, but it stay in recording mode only for 15 minutes or so.
Is there a setting to disable to auto turn off?

    • I mean yeah, the DSLR lens allows more light so you get a better picture.

      • +2

and larger sensor and lens choices and background blur.. it’s way better but obviously significantly more expensive if you don’t already have the equipment

Isn't this one USB C only?

  • +1

Exceptionally good price for a quality cam, one thing to note apart from streaming use and other video conf. usage if anyone considering using the windows hello feature to log in to your windows 10 desktop, this cam does not support it.

  • +1

Just a warning for m1 users. The stream cam software doesn’t work, but you can still use the camera .

  • can someone comment on how this handles very bright situations from sunlight?

    • I find it handles backlight quite well. I have a window behind me that gets a lot of morning sun and the built in camera on my mac (which are notoriously poor) just shows a silhouette. The stream adjusts the image reasonably well to compensate for this. You can use the logitech software to adjust different aspects. Check out some of the reviews on YouTube.

I was gonna pull the trigger but then came across this reivew. hmmmmmm
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVIfYvtUnjs

  • Any one manage to find a cheap privacy cover for these?

I could only find expensive 3d printed ones.

For now I'm using a piece of black plastic attached to black Gaffa tape

  • JB sent me a opened (demo) unit
It is missing the manual as well.
    :-(

  • Officeworks is now selling it for $151.00 (https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-s…), available in both graphite and off white. C&C is $0, my delivery was $0 (not sure if this holds Australia wide)
