Any deals? At this point it's just advertising.

'Up to 20%' isn't a deal either. You should provide examples of where a decent discount applies, rather than the buyer scrolling through every blend/bean to find the best deal.

Hey mate! The store is currently offering 20% ongoing discount and you can get an extra $5 off by using the code provided.

        • Any specific deals that you can provide details on/would recommend?

      • Just ordered a kg of various beans to try. With $5 off on top of current discounts and free shipping, a 1 kg of coffee for just over $40 is not bad in my books.

See I'd be interested in trying this, but when I tried to add a few it still added $11 for shipping. (and I refuse to put my email in before the 'calculate shipping' part where they capture your email for marketing purposes anyway, just to get a quote).

          • @Griefbringer: "Free Shipping available over $40". You're probably doing something wrong. There is nothing wrong with this deal. There is already on ongoing discount from the store and OP is offering an additional discount for OzB'ers. While I haven't tried coffee from them personally, by all accounts from friends who have, their products are fantastic. Getting it cheaper than their regular pricing qualifies as a deal. Take your negativity elsewhere.

            • @CaptainHoltisDad: I'm pointing out that offering a discount does not necessarily make something a deal, and unless there is a deal mentioned in the body of the post, it's grounds for a neg. I'm not being negative for the sake of it. I'm not disputing the taste or quality of their product, and have provided suggestions.

If every Amazon/eBay/small business would offer a discount and then post it on OzBargain the site would be over-run. This is a bargain site, not an advertisement site.

Their coffee while presumably good quality, starts at about $70/kg for a kilo of whole beans, and about $45 or so for blends, hence a sitewide 20% discount, and the $5 bonus (and free shipping) does not necessarily make it a good deal, when there are multiple coffee roasting companies posting similar deals for cheaper.

I spent some time on the website and have ordered 4x250g bags for $42.80 delivered. This is a decent price and I'm going to remove my neg. I still think that OP should put details such as that in the body of the post, rather than generating free clicks to their website with a relatively generic '$5' discount on expensive coffee.
