    I only see

    Your Fare:

    $4,497.30*

Please note that prices are listed per person and based on double occupancy.

did you think that price was per cabin?

  • not obvious at all that it's $2299…neg unless it is.

Couldn't be bothered registering, but it's possible this might reduce the price?

However, I suspect the op has misread the 'per person' bit

bit of an offtopic, but I would hate to spend 28days doing nothing on a boat.

Not sure if your calling your wife or 'mistress/girlfriend'…."nothing"
Who else would you be "doing"??

The ship will dock at various ports around Australia. You can get off each places and explore the city.
There are a lot of activities on ship to cater for various age groups, party every night, cooking/learning lessons, competitions, variety shows nightly. Admitted, 28 days will be very long and may get bored half way through the journey. I would prefer 15 days max.

      • or may be swing every night if you are a lucky person on that boat :)

  • Before getting too excited, you may wish to consdider whether there are port charges and whether gratuities are included. Also, make sure it is double occupancy, not quad. It'll be an inside cabin most likely with no window.

Some of the excurions on some lines can be exorbidant, but I think all of the aussie ones are close in town and you have probably been there anyway, so you have a fair idea of how you'd like to spend your day. The Bali one is a bit further out, but you can arrange a driver on your own for $50 a day including everything.

Cruises can be heaps of fun. 28 days is quite awhile though. The grog is cheap, you'll be able to buy rock bottom duty free grog. Grog is cheap on board as well.

Wish this was over the summer holidays. I'd consider it.

Gratuities…. not sure that Aussies are all that familiar with tipping.
      Especially ox-bargainers.

    • Agreed and.. for 'the pleasure' of entering Balinese waters, add the VOA of US$25 per person-irrespective of if you leave the ship or not. Everone pays

4497.30 is per person, not per couple

    Passenger 1 $4,497.30
    Passenger 2 $4,497.30
    Total $8,994.60

Perfect for if you are old and about to die, and hate your descendants.

It's pretty expensive, and spending 28 days on a boat as a couple without any sort of provisions for intimacy (unless you go as a foursome) is just cruel and unusual punishment.

Also, as someone else pointed out - $4497.30 is for just one person. If you are a couple (or the aforementioned foursome) you are going to be spending a lot of money.

    • Why on earth would there be no provisions for intimacy?

      • the phrase "provisions for intimacy" indicates to me no possibility of intimacy

        • Ok… and why would this be the case?

Terrible post it does not list at all why the OP considers it a bargain

  • I have found this cruise on cruisesalefinder.com for $2886 pp twin share still not what I consider a bargain - I like to pay under $80 per night - but cheaper than the $4497 pp quoted

    • .com is a bogus website with ad links only, was it .com.au?

      • yes sorry it was cruisesalefinder.com.au there are lots of other cruise sites as well that it may be even cheaper on this is just the one I use.

  • Here is Copy of email received from Princess cruises, please note price is quoted as $2299 per person, for past passengers.

you should of said that or linked to the email in the original post… rather than stating a price without any evidence
