    • Yeah I know that is why I reported it.. Didn't know how to tag it while creating the post.. couldn't see an option

      • put [TARGETED] into the title and the mods will get to it

Anyone know how current cardholders can opt in to these offers?

    • +2

This number is to opt out of direct marketing, maybe call it to opt in… 1300 552 079

    • +2

Spend lots on the card! You can't "opt in".
Discussed in this Deal. Rang 28° & asked
Apparently, Recipients are chosen by algorithm, based on your spending

      • I thought maybe you needed to have a latitude account. Which is different to 28d login.

I don't have a latitude account but was going to try

        • nope, based on spend patterns only :(

        • Not necessary. I have both.
No offers, because I spend little.

          • @INFIDEL: I spend zero on the card and receive all the cashback offers.

            • @Reveen: Offers sent are determined by the algorithm. So it differs.

28° told me my spending pattern was likely reason for no offers.

But, as you say your spend is $0, then you don't use any offers.
Almost no offers interest me, so I'm not missing much.

      • +1

My spend is offer spends, nothing more. So you don’t need to spend $ to get offers.

        • To get an initial offer, 28° said your statement spend needs to be above the amount set before they send offer.

So you do need to meet spend limit to receive first offer. They explained that's why I've received 0 offers!

          • +1

@INFIDEL: Not disputing your circumstance, but I have spent next to zero on this card since 2019, and none domestically. Still get offers.

            • @Coops1: You must have a good spend history in the past. So they want to keep you as a loyal customer. That's their objective.

The inexplicable nature of algorithms to the customer!

            • @Coops1: That's pretty much my spending pattern too, but no offers. The only algorithm that likes me is Mark's Meta Magic one

          • +1

@INFIDEL: I rarely use my 28d card, and I still get all of these offers sent to me.

            • +1

@elieb: That's the inexplicable nature of algorithms - to customers!

I rang 28° out of curiosity & they were very vague about how the algorithm might work… Just told me I don't spend enough to qualify.

Long ago used this card a lot for overseas travel (when could also use for free cash advances anywhere). That's the only reason I had the card.

Now it's rarely used - mainly for small online purchases from overseas.

So no amount of Rewards are likely to change that for me. I'm sure their algorithm recognises that. So 28° don't try. Not a problem for me.

Teasing algorithms with varying spend patterns (as I do with Woolies) - often is effective. Get some great offers there. (Like $50 credit for about $5 spend.)
              .

      • Is a lot defined as transactions or dollar value? I think per month we spend less than $2-600 on the card but we get these offers.

        • They didn't disclose the operation of their algoithm to me ;-)

I was only joking when I wrote "spend a lot". It will likely vary between customers. And may be dependent on past spending patterns.

Also got 2000 EDR points offer for $40 spend at BWS. I'm holding out until tomorrow for maybe a cash back deal.

Playing all the Rewards systems I see 👍
Great how they can be stacked!

    • 😂😂😂
      You better 🙏

BWS rarely does cashback any longer.

      • CR currently has 10% off the pinnacle range but nothing there took my fancy.

  • Too bad messina gelato moved to uber eats, its now too expensive to consider ordering.

Does this company still force you to pay via BPAY with a fee?

    • -1

      Yes

Does this company still force you to pay via BPAY with a fee?

There is an easy alternative, you setup your bank account number in their system.

Then within the 28 degrees app you nominate how much you want to pay.

Money comes out of your account within a day or 2

      No fee involved.

      • Hard pass for me then.

        • Is it that much different to a direct debit!?

          • @Coops1: No need to permanently setup

( prefer no one to have direct debit) too many hopeless companies out there…

      • Thanks that's really helpful. :)

    • No. You can easily pay with bank card online.

  • the subway one would be good to combine with an app deal

  • 10% on cash rewards for anyone with bws offer. Paired it with a case of beers that had a few dollars off today and were kinda competitive

  • Has anyone received their $10 back from the BWS transaction yet?

I did the BWS and Deliveroo transaction on the same day - got the Deliveroo credit 6 days later, but still don't have the BWS one 14+ days later.

    • I got the bws . It was online only in case you did in store

      • Thanks - I did do it online, so it's odd that I didn't get the credit (I've had surprisingly good luck with credits working without issue recently, compared to the past when you had to chase up almost all of them!)

The first response to my online request was to wait until January, so I wondered if there was a widespread issue, but seems I just got unlucky! I have since gotten a second response that they will manually credit it, so relatively painless.

        • It’s not like an Amex credit, Latitude credits, in my experience, can post a few days after the end of the spend period.

  • missed all the initial fastfood ones (profanity)
