  • I went to their store in Toombul (QLD). And they weren"t exactly the most helpful, had to get them to look up the deal on their website. I had to leave but I have left my details with the store. Who said they would follow it up with head office. I have asked them to hold me a wheel should it be confirmed then. Never the less I will be calling them tomorrow.

The wheel was on display at the store and the price advertised was $178.

Anyone had any luck with buying online…

    • Sorry to hear that dangercharlie, I stumble across DSE's ad banner from another website. The directly link I posted is how I get directly to their special price. within dse.com.au, they also have the normal price for this steering wheels. Their ad banner did state online only price, so i guess you have to pay shipping $13.5

This is their normal price link:

  • Well, I don't have a PS3 or this particular wheel (instead I have a PC logitech momo) but I will say that if you're in to car/racing games they really make a big difference. To start with you'll find you're a lot worse, but you get better over time and even then it's a LOT more fun which is the point of games anyway isn't it?!? :)

  • Hey yeh its cool, I appreciate the posting! I have GT5P on ps3, the dualshock just doesn't cut it.. And at this price, I thought it would be worth a shot just to claim it instore.
The wording is pretty ambiguous when u click 'Availability', but anyway… I will let you all know regardless. .

    • Hey dc, just checked the delivery cost further, and found by default it is premium and higher, you could get their standard shipping for $9.90 which is more reasonable. Good luck!

  • Thanks I was waiting for the price to drop such as this! Just placed and order now, will let you know when it arrives! Cheers, KC.

  • Hi all,

This is actually a very good wheel. A friend bought one (not at this very good price) and i'm just back from a pretty long session mucking about with one in Gran Turismo. In the past, I've found wheels compared to controllers that the standard controller is better because once you let go of the wheel, the car's wheels are straight, which can be a big advantage over having to pull the wheel this way and that.

For Gran Turismo it was very very good, less so for Need For Speed, but still a better experience than just a controller. One of the only poor features I found was the gearstick is on the right, a bit different for us here with RHS driving. That said, being right handed ensures that you can pick it up pretty quicklyt, but just a point worth noting. The grip and steering was comfortable, light, and plenty of degrees to turn though (specs say 900 degrees, that would be about right) unlike some other wheels in the past. Pedals were fun too.

Good luck picking one up at this excellent price.

    I have ordered mine online..woohoo!

  • Logitech PS3 Force GT Wheel + one game for $147 from DSE

    http://www.lasoo.com.au/portal/offerdetails/logitech_playsta…

  • their standard shipping is by AAE overnight express

    great price

    updated: works on PS2 with GT4 :D

  • Mine arrived yesterday.. with the express shipping.
The only way to play.. the force feedback makes this game so much better by the wheel recentering itself as you drive as well as feeling every bump and curb under you. I can actually control the F1 Ferarri now too

Tried playing GTAIV with the wheel, but couldn't get the pedals to respond at all. It didnt feel as precise as the game of which it was designed to be played with, GT5.

great result for a small investment for when the full release is out
