  • So tempting! Great price.

  • Do they have a QLD store / anyone have the phone number?

    • Just syd and Melb

  • I bought one too from the Sydney store. d3ft was right, they have awesome customer service. They're shipping out today but given the easter break we probably won't get them until Wed-Fri next week right?

    • EVERY ORDER PREVIOUS TO NOW CAN EXPECT A DELIVERY TIME OF 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS FOR DELIVERY.

      Sad :(
      1-2 weeks :3

  • Can anyone direct me to some of these "cheapie" extension cords that were spoken about on the older deal? I need one to reach from the couch to the TV

  • Ozbargainers from WA

Anyone tried price matching at a Jb Hifi or anywhere else?

    • +1

Yeh, I tried @ Enex100 in Perth, but no can do unless I've got a catalogue or a receipt..
Said the cheapest they could do it for is $360.. x_x

Thanks OP, got one from DJwarehouse in the end, $9.00 postage.

  • Customer Service is great, i had phoned to order after the site was stalling and of course as soon as my call was answered the online order went through! Top deal just in time as my sennheiser px200's lost an ear padding on the weekend. Thanks OP

  • Just wondering why people are purchasing this over the phone? Is there something wrong with the online store?

    • its really slow since dick smith staff have hammered the site to get payback for exposing their evil deeds

      • +2

Haha, I wouldn't be surprised considering they are selling these for $499!

        • Just called Dicksmiths

There aren't any in WA, will have to order them in. Rang JBhifi and they have told me the same.

I called djwarehouse Sydney and ordered over the phone

  • Thanks OP picked one up from the Sydney Store! For those that are unsure they have display model for you to test, very light pair of headphones with excellent sound quality definitely worth the buy!

    • Where is it? Site won't load :|

      • The Sydney store is at 641 Parramatta Rd Leichhardt, you can look it up on google maps

        • Ah man… Leichhardt :S Any in the CBD?

  • Couldn't help it… I bought them. Now I just got to figure out how to change the blue colour =P Any suggestions?

    • spray paint? plastic dye?

    • +2

The description says they come with white ear cups. I say leave them stock colour and you can wear them as part of your OZB uniform.

    • glow sticks and stickytape

    • +3
  • cant go thorugh check out page T___T website's sooooooooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwww

  • +1

Just called up Melbourne and ordered now. No wait at all on the phone. Very friendly and efficient service. Said that it would either be sent out tomorrow or on Tuesday, dependent on stock.

  • ordered 1 after about 30mins for the website to load checkout page…………..good price!!!!

  • Audio Technica ATH-ES55-W
is this one better for same price????

    • +3

IMHO only AT M50 in the price range comes close. In short, better sound stage, treble & comfort but not as portable and accurate.

  • +2

Props to the fantastic phone service DJ Warehouse!

  • Another quick question, is it better to get AT M50 or HD25, I ask because I mostly play games and listen to bass heavy hip hop.

    • +1

I think you're after that of the Dr Dre variety.

  • How does this compare with the HD518?

  • +11

dammit i gotta get off my Ozbargain addiction, so many impulse buys made ever since i found this site

    • your contribution will help to keep the world from falling into a major depression :0

    • +3

I still fall into major depression when I see my card statement. >_>

  • +3

Can't believe I spent $300 for these when Jabens' were selling it in a bundle just a few weeks ago.
These deals are making me slightly depressed. =(

    • That previous Jaben deal is still pretty good. If you were just after the HD25's, then fair enough, but the PFE IEMs and Hippo amp are pretty nice.

  • seriously awesome price for these headphones. they are a head phone of choice for DJs. can't beat this at the price.

  • great deal! i remember these retailing for 500 when it first came out.

  • ok finally came to terms with myself

    and put in a order.

    impulse buying… maybe

    sighs

but cant wait!!! for my 4th set of headphones lol

  • +1

are these the same as the Amperior? hd25 are plastic?

    • All HD25s are plastic. The Amperiors just have metallic paint on it, which I think actually makes them look cheaper. Cosmetics aside, the main difference is impedance.

      • +1

i was under the impression that the earpieces on the amperiors have aluminium shells.

but yeah, they look cheaper to me too. i much prefer the look of the regular hd25.

      • ^The amperiors do have an aluminium shell
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMl7vZs3DLs
I don't know if that can justify the price difference though :|

        • i read somewhere that it improves the sound by dampening the reverberations/reducing noise. how true/significant that is, i don't know…

also improved the sibilance issues apparently. (which would be nice, but still probably not worth it to me)

        • +1

I personally doubt the sound difference will be worth the $150 price difference. That's 75% more than the RRP of the HD25-1 II. Then again, I have not compared the two so I can't be sure. Since you're in Sydney, I doubt you will have the chance to compare them in person lol

  • Hmm, since I ordered it over the phone in the afternoon I still haven't received a confirmation email. Anyone else, or just me? Just making sure the order went through, since it takes a few days for my internet banking to update. In any case I'll give them a call tomorrow to check

    • I ordered late morning over the phone, my credit card has the amount debited but no transaction info yet. I also have not received an email either.

I wouldn't worry about it though, they'll be pretty busy with the orders and a bit slow going through the process. Maybe we'll get an email when dispatched, or maybe nothing until the headphones arrive.

      • ease up, dude, wait and I suppose u could get the confirmation letter later…. I ordered last night and received the mail just now…

From what i've read on the link

      • +1

Dupe. This message was posted 2 posts above yours, you should read before re-posting the same message.

Anyway, I just got an email stating that my transaction was approved, though in my account it says it is still processing.

        • Just checked the approval mail and the account status shows that my order has already been putting on hold…

    • I ended up getting the email this afternoon

  • Pretty sure mine arrived this morning - just received an email from the mailroom and I don't remember ordering anything else recently.

    • +5

You never know with ozbargain. I keep getting freebies in the mail I ordered months ago.

      • ^ this

        • +1

Bam, just landed on my desk.

Now that is some insane service.

EDIT: Never received email confirmation either, so don't stress if you haven't.

  • for those that have received theirs, what are the blue adidas stripes on the earpiece made of? are they painted on the shell (and can be scratched off), or is the colour actually built into the plastic?

    • Painted on mate, should be easy enough to scratch off.

Had a super brief listen out of a smartphone (crap source I know) and they sounded great. Isolation was incredible.

      • cheers for that.

i'm very tempted! i reckon i convert them back to non-adidas without blowing ALL the savings…

yeah, they are a relatively easy to drive headphone, so should sound decent from most sources. obviously better from a better source, but ipods etc should drive them fine!

        enjoy!

        • Scratching the paint off is the least of your worries - replacing the neon blue cables will be an expensive endeavour.

        • yeah, instead of replacing them, i would get cable wrap. custom cans in the uk sell cable wrap specifically for the HD25.

they mainly sell coloured ones, because their main focus is taking boring black headphones and making them individualised…but they do have black cable wrap for going back the other way!

black cable wrap + black velour pads/bolsters = roughly $45. but then, i'm going to the US soon, so can probably pick up a standard pair of HD25 for $195 anyway!

reverse modding would be more fun though! aha.

  • wow 10-day lowest price guarantee = no rip-off guarantee.. I believe this is a company that trully offers great customer service!! Well done and buy with confidence.

    • +1

"lowest price guarantee" does not equal "no rip-off guarantee".

mate, i think you need to realise that you haven't been "ripped off". you paid more for something that is now cheaper. you weren't ripped off: you just bought at the wrong time/from the wrong place.

it's unfortunate for you, but that's life: things go on sale all the time - anyone who bought something just before the price is reduced will be annoyed that they paid more than they could have. but they should be annoyed with themselves (for buying at the wrong time), not annoyed with the shop they bought it from.

jaben didn't rip you off. end of story. it truly sucks, and i'm sorry for you, but please get over it.

      • I am just pointing out that djwarehouse can offer something that is beyond what is required by the law, that is a real customer service.

        • +1

so when djwarehouse offer something that is beyond what is required by law, that is real customer service…but when jaben offer something that is beyond what is required by law, that is ripping you off?

seriously dude, you clearly have a vendetta against jaben because you feel you were ripped off (read: made a bad purchase decision). either that, or you work for djwarehouse.

yes, djwarehouse seem to offer great customer service, with the 10 day guarantee and their quick and easy phone service (from comments above). and yes, that should be applauded. but, 1) calling it a "no rip-off guarantee" is completely mis-characterising the guarantee 2) you clearly are biased against jaben and towards djwarehouse.

well done to both jaben and djwarehouse on their great customer service (in different ways).

        • +1

lol, caprimulgus, he was just making a passing statement about DJ Warehouse's customer service. He didn't mention a thing about Jaben. I think you're reading into it a little too much.

        • +3

nah. He's arguing against jaben's customer service in the forums, and then calling djwarehouse "real customer service" here (emphasis on "real")…sorry, that's not just making a passing comment. Read it in context and it's clear.

        • +2

Oh, fair enough. Didn't realise he was posting other stuff about it.

      • alright no hard feeling here, take it easy. Maybe the word no rip-off guarantee is too harsh I apologise if you wish.

I was just trying to share my foolish buying experience (because I didn't realise this thing before) with other ozbargainers to always consider the lowest price guarantee in your selection criteria whenever you purchase a product.

If you are currently deciding to purchase an item from two different companies with presumably the same level of customer service (I meant any company here), the first firm offers a lower price but WITHOUT any lowest price guarantee while the second firm offers a higher price but WITH lowest price guarantee with xx-day go for the second one.

again I'm sorry if my opinion is hurting someone in the forum. PEACE

  • hmmmm might as well get these as a spare… off the subject i have the hd280 pros the headband has deteriorated, the rubber padding, but the ear cups are fine can the head band part be replaced??

  • Got mine today and had a reasonably quick play. I'm no sound nut but I'd been searching for ages for some headphones that were good but didn't explode my credit card. The sound isolation honesty is pretty cool! They sound awesome through amp and also phone and feel only slightly weird on my head probably cos I was thinking about it. Thanks to the person who pointed out about ears overhearing with the cupping ear type, that helped the decision. They come with a (cheapy) little bag to keep them in.

  • Curious, but how do these compare to the razer's carcharias (gaming headset)?

    • +1

you can't compare the two but these ones are more for listening than gaming

      • Sorry but why can't you?
        Wouldn't the specs be similar?
        o.o
        (Audio noob)

        • +1

Specs and user experience/satisfaction are very different things.

        • Different purposes.
SQ wise this should smash razer's carcharias, but this won't have a mic for you to use.

        • If you want to Compare the specs(which you shouldn't)

The HD25 is better in this area ie Sound Quality
Sound Frequency has a larger Range
Impedence is higher but not so high that a seperate amp is necessary although recommended.

THe Razer has a braided cord and a microphone. Braided cord means it is more durable. Also cable is longer but some people consider that as a disadvantage.

If you are going to use it for gaming and need to use the microphone, the Razer is the obvious choice otherwise I would say go for the HD25 and you will have a multipurpose headphone since these have good bass reproduction as well.

If you're not keen on the blue features, this company can help you make them better… or worse! There is a demo video at the bottom of the page.

  • Noone will see this but in case people are looking for comments in the future… woah DJWarehouse's service is incredible. Rang up the Melbourne store when the site was down and they would have been crazy busy, 2 minutes later I've secured a pair. Sent a couple of emails just confirming the details of the order and they were all replied within 10-15 minutes.

I live in North Queensland so normally it takes 5-7 working days for anything to get here and wasn't expecting anything for a while. This morning however, second business day after I ordered it they arrive. Best experience I've had with online shopping thus far and I've done my hard share of it.

That and the HD25s are incredible.

    • Yep. Great! Next business day delivery and great over the phone service. The hd25s are quite tight over the ears but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Loving them so far!

  • Wah is it just me or they bump it up to $199?

    • Yes they said the sale would end on Tuesday, or when all stock was allocated - whichever came first

  • Delivery guy left me a red card - went to the PO and they said to come back tomorrow because the driver hadn't delivered it to them yet :(

If you live in a gated complex do they ever buzz for you or just card you? I have to walk to the PO every week (it's only 30 seconds away)

I ordered the day before the easter break, and it came one day after (I'm assuming the red card is for that - I haven't bought anything else recently)

My experience with DJWarehouse was also really good

  • I picked up mine today and they have it ready for me. It was very fast processing and email to my email box within minutes to finalise the purchase. This is my second pair so I was not in a hurry. The DJ equipment they have their is an eye opener. Look like an interesting store.

  • Ordered last friday through the website, and its still processing. Might give them a ring later to see whats up.

    • mine said "on hold" from last friday, ordered on 4/4 :( anyone else?

      • Mine too.

      • Ordered mine on the 5th, they have not yet emailed me anything except the confirmation. Credit card has not yet been debited.

    • ordered mine on 5/5/2012

      still says on hold.

      hope they arrive soon.

      they say:
      About Your Order

Thank you for shopping with DJ Warehouse Online, and we hope you enjoy our Sennheiser Adidas HD25 Limited Easter Special! Your order is awaiting stock and had been placed in a Pre-Order queue. Please expect a delivery time of 10-16 business days. Thanks again for shopping with DJ Warehouse Online, and if you have any further enquiries please direct them to: [email protected] DJW ONLINE

  • Received mine this morning… mine has like scuff marks on the handle … not normal brand new condition… anyone else has theres and noticed abit scuffed up?

    • i guess that's djwarehouse's "better" than jaben's returns policy for you! ;P

but in all seriousness, it's probably a return. that sucks, and if you care about it, take it back for a swap.

but in all honesty, the HD25 is one product that i wouldn't worry about if it was a slightly scuffed return - it is a tank of a headphone that is made to be used and abused. as long as there's nothing significantly wrong with them, personally i wouldn't worry too much about scuffs.

but yeah, this is the flipside of a generous return policy…you just happened to be on the wrong side of it unfortunately!

  • Argh out love to get a pair.. any chance dhwarehouse? Im happy to pay 160 :)
    .

    • argh, you made me look at this deal again…now i want one! aha.

if they go back down to $150, i'll get one!

  • got mine, it looks cheap and plasticy. sounds ok.
