Deals are meant to be cheaper.

Go to Kmart or Aldi and get an equivalent item for significantly cheaper.

This is more of the “associated” Amazon marketing on OzBargains which floods the site.

Thanks OP, just what I needed. I bought ONE resistance band from Decathlon for $30 about a year ago and have been casually looking for additionals.

Spam! You can buy these for $5 on eBay. Not a bargain.

    • This is 5pcs

  • For a set of 5 bands, I thought this was a good deal. For those saying it's cheaper elsewhere, could you please provide a link because I genuinely need new resistance bands.

I bought what looks like identical set on eBay for $5. That listing is gone but this set of 5 is $15 including post. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/124952633792

      • The item you linked has $10 postage, which makes it $25 with shipping.

        • Sorry says free postage for me, I have Plus but it’s not marked as a Plus item.

      • Thank you, but the bands you linked are different to the one in the original post

  • Price jacking

For the haters here, is there a equivalent deal out there which is cheaper? If so, please link it.

  • To be fair the price of these bands seems to vary widely… so if you have Prime and don’t want to wait I say go for it! But not a deal as you can regularly get this particular set cheaper.

For those saying you can get identical ones and to go to Kmart, keep in mind there are 2 types of resistance bands out there, the so called "booty bands" and the "heavy duty resistance bands". The booty bands are indeed much cheaper than this quite regularly, but they are the ones which are about 60cm long (they are a bit tight just around your waist) and super thin (under 1mm).
These are the much thicker (5mm or so) much longer ones (about 2m long) and I certainly have not seen them at this price for a long time (if ever). The equivalent at Kmart is this one for $10 each for what is about the middle size in the set of 5. https://www.kmart.com.au/product/medium-resistance-muscle-ba…

I totally understand the frustration of the crappy Amazon deals on ozbargain, but to me this one doesn't count as even on AliExpress a set like this would go for near $40.

I've been looking to increase my collection, so picked some of these up as I wanted matched pairs for isolateral exercises without having to swap bands for left and right hand.
For anyone wondering why someone would have a collection, they are incredibly useful if you travel as a "gym in a bag" and they are invaluable for progressing into gymnastics style movements (e.g. planche, front levers, etc…even someone who is just starting with chinups) as they allow you to train with form when you wouldn't be able to get 1 rep, and you can progress to less and less assistance.

  • Agree this is a good deal. A set isn't as cheap as it seems as all the deals are per band or for three bands or no postage. Recently bought a set of 3 for $23 on Catch.
My question to those who use these is where do you anchor them to use them in the house, apart from say doing curls with them and anchored by the feet?

    • I'm spoiled and have a power lifting cage - plenty of attachment points, I just leave 4 of them permanently there.

Simplest alternative is door handles (just mind the orientation). Another option is getting one of the expandable chinup bars that go inside your door frame, easy to set up at different heights (these heavy duty ones are also fantastic for assisted chinups, front levers, planches, etc with a bar like this). Just loop them onto any pole/pipe with a girth hitch really. If you're keen, head to a playground or outdoor gym and you'll have no shortage of options too!

Using your body is also fantastic - under the feet is the most obvious, but you can do things like hold them in your hands with a cross behind your back for pushups. If you tie a knot in them or double them up you can also use them the same as you would short ones for things like crab walks around the knees.

  • The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to the purchase?
    Whats wrong?

  • Yeah, has the code expired? Not working for me either

  • Only $12.00 discount for me with the code

  • Code's still working, just used it a few minutes ago

  • According to Camel the price has been jacked.

Posting a deal with a code for a fake discount doesn't make it a bargain.

  • Doing this deal again?
