(in)Formal Apology Letter from GAME Aus
Dearest OzBargain fans,
It has come to our attention that, over the years, we may have been the cause of some unplanned discretionary spending as a result of various bargains on the GAME Australia website.
Comments like the following from OzBargainer 'bigosmallo' have helped bring this to our attention:
"Ugh, what are you doing to me?…I bought 5 PS3 games…then I got the Team Ico collection for $30 from GAME. Now I have to get Dead Space 2…"
For this, we are truly sorry…but certainly not remorseful. In fact, we're at it again.
This time, we're offering a further 20% off over 350 already reduced lines when you use coupon code EXTRA20 online.
But while we're in the mood for apologies, we'd also like to say:
We're sorry if…
We have been a contributing factor to relationship issues, failed classes, loss of sleep, unemployment, missed deadlines or other related problems resulting from over-indulgement in GAME products. Unfortunately, we can accept no liability for such issues and we cannot guarantee that similar situations do not re-occur
Engaging in gaming has encouraged the widespread adoption of common shorthand 'internet' or 'game-speak' into regular conversation. (ROFL, jks! We're not really soz for that. hmm, actually…maybs we r…)
You've liked our Facebook page or are following us on Twitter and already hear about our bumper deals before anyone else
But most of all, regardless of the rumour-mill, we’re sorry that GAME Australia may continue to be a source of unplanned spending. GAME Australia will continue to trade as normal and will keep providing our customers with the very best in gaming consoles, games, pre-owned titles and gaming accessories.
GAME on and Happy Hunting! Be sure to let us know what bargains you like best ;)
Sincerely,
GAME Australia

Postulative on 12/04/2012 - 11:47 ¶I keep looking in your stores for Fable II for PC, but nobody ever seems to have it:(.
+1 voteThought I saw the brick and morter stores offering 20% off yesterday.
Does this 20% apply on top of the 20% instore or is it just an online mirroring?
Edit: It was written on a … small whiteboard thing at the front of the store. Was in great need of artistic flair to be honest…
+1 voteJust not sure why you would need a coupon online when the "offline" ones offer it anyway.
Didn't know if you were maybe offering the 20% off already and then going the full monty and offering another 20% off online only (In which case I'd have to dig a little more thoroughly to find some gems).

@nkbswe5
That was Noraneko's point I believe. If you can walk in and get the discount without jumping through hoops why make the online deal need a coupon - why not just reduce the price? It's nice they tell us about it but I bet plenty of the online orders will be paying full price not knowing.Noraneko then thinking that it would be silly to be doing that thought maybe the online prices were reduced to match the store - and we were getting a extra special deal rather then just a specific 'ozbargain ad'. His question was valid and mirrored my own.
+1 voteGreat price on BF3 LE for the 360 - $38.40 delivered:

+1 votedavedrastic on 12/04/2012 - 12:27 ¶Will you guarantee that the new items will be new and not re-packaged used games - as per the Brink items that were on sale a few months ago.
-1 voteozinnovations on 12/04/2012 - 17:40 ¶i thought both of them are the same. just different trading name.
+2 votesWell, a simple company name search will show you that this is not the case:

+1 voteI'm assuming it's only being applied to items that are currently on sale from this part of their site- http://www.game.com.au/sale2012

Hi Sash213,
The code will only work with products already discounted as part of the sale page.

Keep it coming.
CyberGenesys on 12/04/2012 - 13:04 ¶Bullet Storm LE (ps3) for $17.60 seems pretty good, sad that BF3 on ps3 is not discounted :'(
+1 voteAs metioned above, BF3 (PS3) Limited Edition now works with the discount code applied.

+1 votedavedrastic on 12/04/2012 - 18:24 ¶You'd probably be better off getting the new version - especially if you want to play multiplayer, pretty sure there's an online pass required which won't come with the pre-owned version.
BF3 single player isn't that crash hot so I'd encourage you to get the new one if you're looking to keep the game.

Nintendo 3DS Executive Case doesnt seem to work with the discount also.
