    The Eddie Murphy looks interesting.

I know. $1 for this is a bargain even if it’s on DVD. My favourite part of Raw is when he talks about Michael Jackson. I’d post the YouTube link here but he uses some choice words and I don’t want to be blacklisted.

      • If you haven’t seen Robin Williams “Live at the Met” it is a treat.

      Botox…

    • But I wouldn’t recommend watching the new “Coming to America 2”…😪

  • Most of these look like what the typical bargain bin would be full of

  • Scrooged is a great movie

  • I think there are better drink coasters for this price.

  • Cheers, got a couple.

  • And yet some people still buy DVD movies.

    • We just borrow them for free from our local library.

      • I haven't played a DVD movie in years. I've however literally got hundreds of blu-ray 1080p movies in my collection purchased years ago. I can't say a DVD movie would look that great on my 4K TV.

Ours looks fine, it all depends on how good your device upscales…

          • @jv: I'd rather at least blu-ray 1080p. Why would you not when blu-ray movies are literally only a few dollars each on sale.

              Our library only get DVDs.

              • @jv: Yeah that's a pity!.

                • @hollykryten: Not really, they are free

                  • @jv: Yeah but DVD is so much screaming early 2000's retro video.

Also DVD is prone to the good old DVD rot.

                    • +1

@hollykryten: Our house is art deco, so 2000's retro looks modern…

                      • @jv: Yeah well. I stopped buying DVD when an entire TV show collection on DVD got destroyed by DVD rot. Bad DVD disc design and manufacturing which some DVD discs suffered from. This happened when it was stored in DVD sleeves. No more. It never seems to happen to any of my blu-ray discs.

DVD rot just is so crap. You could come back in a years time to find your DVD movies are stuffed because of DVD rot. Some were manufactured cheap and very poorly.

@hollykryten: First DVD I ever bought was the matrix R1 around 2000. I didn't have a dvd player, played on my DVD equipped PC through my Sony DD RX. Sound Card had Coax digital out. BTW disc still plays fine. No deterioration whatsoever. Hard to think that was 21 odd years ago.. The good old days (sigh)…

    • Yeah Shazza and Davo in Sunnyvale

  • Cheers, some good titles

  • i love these vintage items, i am an avid collector.

    • i am an avid collector.

      Bo' selecta! Merion

  • There’s probably these plus 1000 more titles at Cash Converters for 50 cents

    • Scratched to hell and back but.

    • +3

i think i will treat myself and splurge the additional 50 cents to buy brand new and unscratched.

sorry for flexing my wealth, i try to stay humble.
