  • Awesome price, I've got a Mars Pro 2 and I love it. I'm almost tempted to get this too just for the larger build plate alone.

  • Just curious how much do resins cost in general?

    • Normally $60 a litre.

      • As cheap as $40 for the Elegoo Water Washable per litre on Ebay too

        • Elegoo have been sold out of water-washable for ages. The cheapest you can get WW atm is ~$50. If you go normal resin it's like ~$35.

    • the translucent green anycubic stuff is $35 and my personal favourite for its ease of use, good curing and great value

I've had this for a while (just had a small print fail about 10 min ago). It's awesome. Just need to get good at supports

      It sounds awesome.
Hopefully a large print will fail soon too.

So what business can you setup with this?

  • Good find thanks! picked one up as an upgrade on my LD002R.

  • Wondering if I should take the leap from fdm to this. These are better aren't they?

    • DLP outshines FDM for small parts, fine detail or parallel tasks. Raw materials are more expensive and waste cleanup is more laborious and hazardous though.

      • So mainly for hobby / aesthetic stuff instead of functional. I'll probably stick to fdm for now then till the prices come down further for a larger plate. Thank you

        • Most people use this for model making. Table top games etc

          It's quality over quantity

  • Do you think this could be used in a smallish one bedroom apartment? Only place I could set it up would be on my dining table, or possibly on the balcony

    • Health hazards somewhat still unknown, but it is certainly not recommended. If you do, best mod it to vent gases outside via ducting

  • Would you know of any good ones with larger build plates? At least 300 x 300.

  • 4% or $25 off from CashRewards too.

  • Been waiting on a deal like this for a while, just bought… Any recommendations for resin + curing accessories ATM?

This good for making plane models?
    F-*, 747?

  • Been looking for a 3D printer. I didn't have in mind one that produced prints at this level, but watching some videos changed my mind. Off to print some Ozito battery hangers, then some super cool sheep. Entering the rabbit hole…. different liquids, flexible steel plates.. where does it stop.

    • +1

FYI I've ordered the flexible build plates very cheaply off Aliexpress. they're yet to arrive though, so no review yet.

  • damn! missed this :( are there often sales?

    • This is lowest price ever, so not sure if they will do it again :(. They seems to be doing $543.99 quite reguarly recently.
Note that they released a new model Dec last year, Saturn S with slightly larger build space and a builtin mini carbon filter, which is possibly why it's on sale.

      • It seems its on sale right now for $543. Not sure if I should pull trigger or go for an S

      • Update: Pulled trigger lol. Any suggestions on a wash and cure station?

  • Anyone got theirs yet .. mines been sitting in a AusPost distribution centre 1 suburb away from me for a week…

    • Mine arrived 4 days after, working great so far.

      • Mines now officially "lost in the post" Amazon refunding me and told me to buy it again .. thing is the printer plus resin I bought is now $200 more then I originally paid.

How the F does Australia Post lose a box that size? .. third shipment since Dec they have lost for me.. whats up with that (and these are going to a Post Office to collection not my doorstep)?

        • Wait for the auspost auctions. Will be there somewhere

  • Looks to be back on as a "lightening sale" .. but not as good @ $543 .. I found this as a sponsored Ad on the site.. but could not when searching or looking at "deals" hmmm
