Mind Maps Pro only have 3.2 stars?

also what is the point of you already have Visio?

Reviews from 3 years ago… Microsoft Store is such a ghost town

    • +3

point is the other half doesn't have visio

      • +1

        that half use draw.io

Visio is pretty expensive for business.

      • Brutally expensive. I bought a <$10 Visio 2016 Pro license from ebay and activated to my Microsoft account. Assume it was part of an enterprise pool they were selling probably breaching terms but I couldn't pay $1500.

A year later I had an issue with my Microsoft account and tech support stripped the license and issued me with a full MS perpetual Visio 2019 Pro license instead. Pretty impressed with that service moment.

I use Visio often but no way I can justify that price. Keen to try these tools out, thanks OP!

    Thank you, Downloaded.
These apps are so light and noob proof, was easy to use even for a beginner like me.

Agreed! Very light weight and easy to get into it as a complete newby.

Thanks very much for this. Both excellent apps.

  • Thanks!

  • just use miro

  • I tried to install due to dealbot recommendation but it shows an open icon.

  • Couldn't use my edu email address. But personal one worked.

  • Doing mind maps on computer defeats many of the benefits of mind maps eg speed and reproducibility. Or learning as some call it.

In our office we use something similar on a large touchscreen with the whole team contributing. It's fantastic. You can't do that across different locations and digitally any other way.

I suppose you could use a pigeon to deliver your part of the contribution to each person and get it back. But your way is much more efficient.

  • There are some great tools like MindMeister, but they are cloud based and cost quite a bit. This is a great deal for a simple mind map. I don’t know of any other free ones. Thanks Dealbot.

  • I was lost in my mind maze.

  • Great. Thank you very much.

  • Great Thanks!

  • how do you add to your account without actually downloading them?

    • +2

Cancel the auto download and install and it just says it's in your library.

  • how does this compare to xmind?

  • Thanks, have added to my account.

  • thank you! seems like good alternatives to onenote.

Turns out I already own both apps, but have never used them. Hoarding digital licenses is a legit hobby, right? Right?!
