      jb will likely follow suit with price
      but yes, you should be able to pricematch anyway - although, ethically, i dont recommend it, if you dont have to. if EB wants to try and charge ridiculous prices for their games, then they dont deserve the money!

        I'll walk down to jb in the morning. I don't mind eb because they never claim to be anything they aren't (ie ripoff merchants) but I have a house rule not to buy from ds again after the grief I had last time I went there.

      I tried price matching DSE preorder since their website clearly says "PRICE GUARANTEE, if the price drops in-store or online before release date, you will pay the lowest price" this is what they said:

      Hi,

      Unfortunately we will not be able to price match with Dick Smith. However, we will be dispatching these games via overnight delivery so you can enjoy playing the game on the release date.

        If I remember correctly regarding WoW: Catacylsm, I pre-ordered it from Dick Smith and received it on release date.

        My online orders from Dick Smith have always arrived very quickly.

    I pre-ordered from MightyApe.
    Initially it was $78 (inc. shipping), sent them some messages every time i found an Australian edition cheaper and they happily dropped the price. At around $65 now, I could probably ask them and they'd discount another dollar off or so!

    But yeah, great service :)

      what is the point to "pre-order" ages before the game is released then?

      laughing at some of the CE orderers who claimed that you would never find a brand new copy of the limited collector edition as soon as they sold out, and then the CE's value would double, triple, etc. etc. etc.

        Collectors doesn't necessarily mean Limited. What it does mean is "money-grab". They will make as many as people are willing to pay for and no more.

        It's surprising that people are willing to fork out $70 extra for what is essentially some extra packaging, a chinese made usb stick/toy, and some superficial digital downloads that have no effect on how you play. Especially for cheapskate (and I use that word as a compliment) ozbargainers who are normally more savvy than that. :)

        Not that I am complaining mind you, it helps subsidise a little of the cost for anyone buying the SE. :)

    How will their delivery system work? As I know EB where going to be sending out the hard copies a day or 2 before the 15th, will Dick do the same? Or will it be sent out on the 15th, and recieved on the 16th?

Been looking online for a week due to completely forgetting to preorder months ago and unwilling to pay $200 - $250 from scalpers on eBay (who have actually sold a fair few copies :O.) Put my order in, paid and 2 minutes later the offer was discontinued online.

      Servers open at 5:00pm AEST so you could even buy the game instore on the 15/5 and play it as soon as it's out.

          Called the customer service - waited for 15 mins before they pick up the call..

          anyway..

          The courier are going to the warehouse to pick up and send it out by today. So the earliest date is tomorrow.

          They said i can return ask for money back in-store once I receive the order tomorrow.

          Going to Big WA, pick up one and ask for refund tomorrow in DS.

          I think DSE have received a ton of cancel order this morning and when I think to cancel the order, I received a mail from DSE of my order updated:

          Your order has been packed and is awaiting collection. You will receive an email with shipping information this evening which will enable you to track your order.
