  Just remember people that itspot / tech4u / wacomputers are megabuy in disguise. Doesn't mean it'll go bad, but at least go in knowing who you're dealing with.

        Yeah, can't wait for my first 1PB drive. Found an article from 2003 that said they were 7 years away, guess that was way off. Could be in for quite a wait on this one.

  I'm a bit dumb here… can anyone tell me what's the difference between the two 3TB models the OP listed? Why is the GoFlex one more expensive, by $24?

    The Goflex is a bit more versatile, and comes in a better enclosure that runs cooler & can be switched between NAS & USB bases (not hot swap though).

    I have these in 1TB USB 3.0 & 3TB NAS models, I like them. :)

  Can someone tell me if the 3TB FreeAgent GoFlex Desktop USB 3.0 Portable Drive for $199 is usb powered? I call up the company and they said that it is usb powered because what's in the box does not include a AC adaptor.
