The official charger uses the bottom of the controller, the EXT port.
The USB port on top comes loose from generally plugging and unplugging the USB cable so having them hang by this port isn't the best idea.
Also this one usually dont come with power adapter, so you have to provide your own usb power, which is make no different than just plug your controller directly to usb adaptor

There’s even a third kind with a mini display thing. They really went all out with the accessories at Kmart.

There's a slightly nicer looking one for about $7-8 at Kmart from memory which looked very similar to the ones EB sells for more than double that price.

Funny hey….. I wear the downvotes as a badge of honour. Probably the last part of my comment responsible for negs - obviously lots of salty guys that got burned trying to get a ps5 and refuse to pay the resellers. For what it's worth I don't support the reselling practice and wouldn't consider doing it myself.

Yes it runs off the rear USB port as it comes with a short USB C cable. Accessory is the PS5 for the anko stand :)

Was hoping that the ports would pass through data so I could plug in my portable USB DAC as well, but they don't.
Also probably wouldn't have bought if I realised it had the bright blue leds too… but for $3… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
