G.Skill Aegis 1X16GB 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 RAM $69 + Delivery + Surcharge @ Shopping Express

430

1% surcharge for card & Paypal payments.

Pretty good CL and mhz.
As always, for learning purpose. Let me know if there are better deals. :)

This is a really great HODL or not HODL deal as well:

Another good deal posted by a fellow:

Kingston NV1 2TB PCIe Gen 3 NVMe M.2 (2280) SSD $189

Good to save some shipping fees if getting both.

$699 3060ti is not a good “to hodl or not hodl” because that low end model has been around that price for 2 months, giving it another month

    • Good to know. Thought that 3060ti is middle class graphic cards when there are integrated graphic cards, 3050 and friends. haha

      • By low end model I mean specifically the msi ventus, given how the Asus KO is currently still at this price it’s not worthwhile given that is a much better card

    • I mean, the 3070 is also $699 occasionally these days, no?

      • removed, realised the $659 is an epic hour deals and has been expired

Have had a pair of these for a few years on ryzen and now Intel
No heatspreader but have had zero issues

    • +1

Heatspreaders haven't been necessary since DDR2. It's just marketing at this point

      • For now no, prolly DDR6 I'd say.

        • Not if fab processes keep shrinking. As they get smaller less voltage is needed

Dont forget to enable XMP in BIOS, or you'll be wondering why it wont run at 3200mhz.

Yeh its interesting how these dont have Heat spreaders, coz almost all other 3200mhz sticks have them.
Do these things even get hot enough to need them ?

  • +1

    Nice.

  • Will there be any issue when combined with other RAMs with similar specs (say Crucial Ballistix) under default XMP? Thanks

    • +3

Most likely be fine, but you will be limited to the performance of your worst stick

    • +3

I ran with LPX without issue

    delivery kills this deal

SE should really offer free shipping.

      • yes, even for a payable membership like mwave.

If you need two then they have 2x16GB kit for $139

    • Any advantage over getting 2 separate 16GB sticks as that’s cheaper?

  • +1

    Postage is 30 for me.

  • Sydney to Sydney Shipping is nearly $10 and it kills the deal for me.

  • I have a 32 GB kit of these (16 GB * 2), works well for almost a year now.
