I never understood, never, that's why i never buy these strips. Why isn't there a mode for just static NORMAL light on???? I don't want fade, strobe, flash. Just want normal, always on light! 🤦

if you press a specific color, it should just stay on with that color

    • There is..

FYI - white isn't really white as I found out on the other post & got attacked for asking the question.

      Does this have black LEDs?

    • +1

Is there a warm white option?

There's generally 2 kinds of light strips, one that has a dedicated white LED emitter with your bog standard RGB's and ordinary ones that do just RGB.

If you want RGBW, the Mirabella Genio RGBW striplight can be found in Bunnings warehouse or Costco

      • Maybe don't forget to mention the $8 vs $69 price difference….

      • Ended up buying this 5 metre white 5050 LED strip off eBay for $10.90 delivered. No transformer supplied but I had one anyway. Didn't realise when I bought it but there is wiring from either end so if you cut it you can use both pieces, bargain.

Same as last Deal. Out of stock online. None at stores near me

    • Doesn't this one have an actual white light?

      • +1

I think it the same as the 5m, but shorter.

      • No. The only "RGBW" strip that Kmart sells is the "neon flex" style Mirabella one

thanks will add it to description

Ordered, expecting an out of stock cancellation email in 5..4..3..2..

  • Had this, used for a little while was good until the remote started to play up. Click white and red would come, click red and yellow came up… you get the idea…

    • Sounds like you got the deluxe version

Why are LED extrusions so damn expensive for these strip lights?

    • Yep it's crazy, I just used a different extrusion I had lying around & siliconed it on before installing (different led strip).
No diffuser though but it's not really needed.

  • I've got this strip and what they call "white" is actually somewhat greenish. I mostly just leave it on a purple or blue and those are OK. It's also not quite as bright as some WS2812B strips I got from aliexpress. Decent deal for this price but I wouldn't pay full price for it

  • For anyone looking for stock, Bass Hill, NSW still has heaps.

Still scans at $6/$10, but they overwrote at the checkout if you show them the online listing.

  • Anybody know the lm/w efficiency of these things? My main gripe with LED strips is that the cheap ones are always so inefficient

    • I've had some ones bought from ebay/ali express ..they are still working after a few years

  • Thanks… One of my local Kmarts had 1 in stock.. Ordered. :) Cheap, inefficient, not quite white… don't care.. should do the job.. Appreciated.

  • I just got 3m one at Wetherill park Kmart. The price tag was $6. but at checkout it scanned as $4. There was still 6 or more there.

    • Same price online.

  • Does anyone know the power consumption of these?

I imagine different colours consume different amounts of power?

I've set it up in my garage and thinking of just running them 24/7

    • the only issue with cheaper led strip is that there is a possibility that they might melt with heat
