Horizon Omega Z Treadmill + Free Upright Bike + Free Flat Bench $1299 (Normally $1499) + Free Shipping @ Johnson Fitness

70

Saw this treadmill for $1499 a few months back without any promotion so I guess this is a great deal. It has been on "pre-order" status for a few weeks so this looks like new stock.
NOTE: They also have an updated version in GREY colour and have the same promotion. Link here

So, for $1299 you got:

  • Horizon Omega Z treadmill
  • FREE Tempo 1060 Upright Bike (normally $199 on sale, around $299-399 elsewhere)
  • FREE Johnson Flat Bench for every order over $600 (just add to cart, normally ~$99 on sale)
  • FREE curbside delivery
And don't forget cashback like i did

What I like about this treadmill (from specs only):
+ 3 HP motor (continuous HP, not just peak) ok for actual running, not just light jogging
+ Good speed 0.8-20km/h. Incline range 0-12%.
+ Wide but not too long running area 53 x 140cm as I am not tall
+ Not to bulky (93kg, 183cm long) for its running area & motor spec. I find most Nordictrack or Sole are too large
+ Simple interface, as I'm not into fancy training program with LCD screen
+ Minimalistic design & colour scheme

Buyer beware - if you have any issues, there is zero support. Take it from me, or read up on reviews.

I have their cross trainer which started making loud noises within a few months of purchase. I have since logged 3 tickets and they attended in person all 3 times. The noise goes away temporarily and then comes back later but I haven’t personally had issues with the support as they always come to check the cross trainer.

      • That wasn't my experience. Just no response except the occasional promise they they'd sort it out which never happened (plus an untrue assertion that they had attended to it).

  • I have this exact model, purchased from Johnson fitness. I had an issue with my model and they sent out two technicians to my home free of charge. I didn’t expect this service based on reviews, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Also if you use the app with it, try out “atZone”. Works more reliably.

    • Hi, may i know what was the issue you got with this model?

Turned out it wasn't really an issue in the end. It was a safety feature that didn't allow you to hold down the speed increment button. The blokes were lovely and gave me a few tips on maintenance.

  • I have the Horizon Omega Z and it’s a massive unit and very heavy. Was a surprise even though there were basic measurements on their site.

Their support is rather limited. I couldn’t find proper instructions on the recommended maintenance for applying silicone oil to the belt. They sent me a video showing a completely different model with a very different setup. No responses to further requests. In the end I took it apart myself.

Saying that. Quite happy with the performance and features.

    • I use a silicone spray to lubricate it. A lot easier than trying to rub it in under there. But you're right, it's so bloody heavy. Getting it up my narrow staircase was a workout in itself.

  • ANybody use this with Zwift? Any issues? I'm kinda temnpted to get oine to replace my ancient York tready which just won't die.

I have another Horizon treadmill, and yes it works with Zwift. The treadmill connects via Bluetooth and sends the treadmill speed, and also elevation which you can see when it exports to strava.
