expired Qantas BNE/SYD/MEL - DFW $1030 Return (Approx) Incl. All Taxes and Fees Booked through Expedia.ie
This was posted 10 months 25 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
You can get return tickets from the east coast of Australia(BNE/SYD/MEL) to Dallas USA for approximately $1000 with http://www.expedia.ie/.
I have found dates in October, November of this year and next year in February. Other dates may have this cheaper rate.

soakwashrinsespin on 27/06/2012 - 16:08 ¶doesn't get much cheaper, ever!!!!
Was EUR656 = AUD817 SYD-LAX-SYD through the same site a few weeks ago: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70589
I also booked LAX-SYD-LAX for EUR656 a few days ago.
So it does get cheaper! :P
Puff Braddy on 28/06/2012 - 03:55 ¶736 Euro total is the cheapest I've come across, departing Feb 20 returning Mar 18 Melb > LA > Melb.
Your price is likely return too, not each way. Proceed to the checkout and you'll see this.

-1 votebigosmallo on 27/06/2012 - 18:05 ¶Absolutely nothing cheap in New York. You're looking at around $400 a night minimum, average being upwards of $500.
We stayed in Brooklyn and had a free cab ride into the city each morning and that cost us $300 a night (absolutely no refunds), and it was in a very dodgy area.
This was for a family of 4.

Considered the backpacker route? Its about 40 bucks a night per bed. HI New York is pretty good and 5 minute walk to the 103th on the 1 train.
+1 voteWhere I stayed in January 2011 for about $90 a night, booked quite early though. It's only a block away from Times Square so it's a pretty excellent location. You're looking at about $200 a night there now though, and it is comfortable but basic.

Can anyone explain why these flights are so cheap through expedia.ie?
Looks like Qantas and Virgin only though?
I'm looking to do BNE -> NYC early next year, but really don't want to fly Virgin or Qantas, as they don't offer any inseat power in economy. Korean seem to just fine, but haven't found them on special at all. Any tips on finding specials on a GOOD airline?
amberdbrickell on 28/06/2012 - 08:30 ¶I think it's cheaper cause the Euro is up the **** and they still want people to fly..that's my thinking…
Anyway, you can get flights from Melb to LAX for roughly $820 return for May 2013..now all I got to do is wait for June to be added and I am booking!!!
CRAZYRED20 on 28/06/2012 - 13:07 ¶I just booked some flights to LA taking the family to disney land in the school holidays next year. for 4 of us only $3200 return!

OMG! This is insane! I just got back from the states! absolutely loved it .. I actually want to go live there for a bit but its not as easy for us aussies as the UK option.. Alas :((
But this deal has me reaching for the credit card which is already busted from this trip!Just such a bargain price! Well done to those who found it & posted it here :)))
DigitalPulse on 28/06/2012 - 19:59 ¶My flights are 100 euros cheaper than the last sale these guys had and that was a great deal back then
Picklewickle on 28/06/2012 - 21:42 ¶Wow, this is great. Is it possible to book the flights online? Or do I have to wait until tomorrow and call a flight centre?? Do they just accept what you say about price?? Thanks
dnnnnnnnnng on 29/06/2012 - 00:41 ¶yes, you book it through the expedia.ie site as per the instructions in the initial post…
ssmith3104 on 01/07/2012 - 02:37 ¶Wow, tickets today went up 40% from yesterday! How is that possible?
