Let's keep this Blu-Ray Train rolling!

Not quite as cheap as last time, but still a generally great price for Park Chan-Wook's Vengeance Trilogy. This also seems to be a flash sale as the countdown timer suggests it ends in 4 hours

Decision To Leave (Park's latest) should arrive on blu ray in Australia next week @ ~$30 for comparison.

Great, great, great trilogy. A must have before the hysteria and commercialisation of Korean cinemas/TV.

      Yep, I'd buy this in 4k. I'm so 3000 and 8, blu-rays so 2000 and late

      • Picked up Oldboy 4K from Amazon AU for ~$25 when it was on sale recently. The other two are also on 4K but a lot more expensive.

Hopefully they'll have a 4k set with Decision To Leave. Then I'll buy

@rosebank: …plus The Handmaiden, Thirst, Stoker, I'm A Cyborg, etc.

@theory: Yes! Whole filmography in 4k, and lots of cool extra shit

        • When was the sale? I must of missed it. I would love Oldboy in 4K.

@jallen89: It was a one day sale end of last year I think. I have everything I want to buy from Amazon in a wish list on the site which I check every day.
Edit: Had a look, it was boxing day. $29.65 was the price.

    Decision To Leave is excellent!

Have yet to see this movie and am looking forward to it.

Outside of Park's, I Saw The Devil with greats Lee Byun-hun and Choi Min-sik is one of the best film ever and is a must see for cinema lovers and connoisseurs.

      • Yeah, that's another great one. Check out The Chaser by Na Hong-jin if you haven't.

Yep. Seen it. Memories of Murder, Bitter Sweet Life, The Wailing, Mother. Some of Korea's greatest and finest. Superb in the purest sense.

Bought this in the last sale. I find Lady Vengeance underwhelming and Sympathy for Mr Vengeance more enjoyable, contrary to most online reviews. Old Boy is definitely a classic.

I enjoyed both, but Sympathy for Mr Vengeance has something great within its darkness.

Bleak films need to exist to balance out the happy escapism people convince themselves is what movies and/or life should be like
