  • Will I be able to run Crysis on high on this?

    • +4

No sure if weed will impact the performance.

    • +5

This is an office PC. We have plenty of gaming PCs on the website.

  • +4

I must say, I do like these micro PCs.

Such a small form factor, yet so capable.

I have a Del 7070 with a 9th Gen Intel chip and 16GB RAM and the thing flies… sure its not a gaming PC with an onboard graphics card, but it does so well for WFH purposes… Dual monitors, and I'm running 40+ Chrome tabs, Visual Studios, SQL and Postman.

Mine didn't come with built in Wifi/Bluetooth, but that is a nice to have.

Seriously, if you want something fast and very decent for a clean work from home setup, this is a very good way to go :)

    • +1

yes, only downside on this one is 6th gen so no windows 11 support, but a small PC in this formfactor with Gen 9 or better would be great for WFH, smaller footprint than my mid tower case.

      • +3

Very easy to bypass and install W11. Microsoft are just being nonces requiring 8th gen plus but no issue if you install W11 on older cpus.

  • +1

I really like these. I bought one last month (via Ebay Plus) for $183.92 delivered with Express Post.

But it was a "Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro Core i5-7500T, 256GB SSD and wifi"

Its making an excellent Ubuntu, Docker and Plex server.

  • +5

Making a Raspberry Pi 4 look pretty crap at this price point.

    • Absolutely! Especially if you are totally missing the whole purpose of Raspberry Pi and misusing it as a workstation.

    • +2

Wouldn’t this PC use more power than a raspberry though?

      • Raspberry Pi4: 3..6W (+ 4..8W Ext SSD\HDD)
        Dell 3050: 12..65W (+ peripherals)

      • +3

        Pi: 0.000000003GW

        3050: 0.000000012GW

Practically the same if you stand back enough

      • Sure, but realistically it won't even be noticeable on the bill for most households. Also offset by all the extra functionality and performance.

      • -1

At 25c/kwh it'd come out to an extra ~20c/year if it was powered on 24/7.

        • -1

          $109/year

          • @SHPION: 10 watts difference doesn't come out to an extra $109/year, though I was still wrong with my calculations.

  • Flat rate $50.00 shipping - ouch.

    • +1

      Post says pick up only.

      • -1

It does but the cart gives you the option to ship at $50.00.

Alternate post title could be "only value on pickup because we will bill you $50.00 to ship it".

        • +1

We like the K.I.S.S principle. Pick up only :D

  • Shame it's pick up only

  • Here's the store address from their website- 78 Golf Links Road Berwick

I think it's a great deal- $200 with KB, Mouse and Headset

  • I’ve bought from these guys before. Great support friendly owner and a solid device. Will buy from again.

  • Could I ask about the warranty with this PC? I can't find in your website.

    • 6 months

      • Gotcha!

  • is this capable of running 4k video? will this be a good alternative to any media player ie (nvidia shield pro, chromecast etc)?

  • Give us some love here please in sunny QUEENSLAND! We need it here.

    • If we still have stock by end of week contact us and we can arrange something.

  • @coathanger007 can I get one with 32GB of Ram?

    • Why do you need that much memory?

      • To use it as a little proxmox virtual machine host!

        • Sounds fun. This little PC is not really geared up for the more advanced user. If you purchase one of our pricier PCs we could certainly increase the ram for you.

  • Is pickup available over the weekend? Need an emergency WFH replacement.

    • Yes sure thing

  • Hey is it possible to upgrade this to Windows 11?

  • Can you support 3 FHD monitors with this PC?

  • Yes https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000…

Though we wouldn't recommend it. For a bit more you can get this 9th gen i5 with Geforce GT 730
