Android 4.0 Tablet With 7 inch Capacitive Screen $99 (RRP $299) using Spreets (says Melbourne)

13

Saw this on Spreets (listed as a Melbourne deal, but can't see why it shouldn't apply nationwide) this morning and thought I'd throw it up on here. Not too sure whether the tablet itself is of particularly decent standard/spec, but the quotes RRP of $299 means there's quite a good saving to be had. According to Spreets, it seems you buy the voucher and redeem it on the following site: http://www.grabargains.com/android-40-tablet-with-7-inch-cap…

"If you are looking for a stylish and super lightweight tablet with multi-touch capacitive touch screen, then the i7 won't let you down."

That description is full of ass (how misleading - I'm assuming the tablet is called 'i7' opposed to referencing the i7 CPU).

    • I would be very surprised if anyone were genuinely misled to believe there may be an i7 CPU in this tablet.

i doubt you have dealt with customers in the retail space before… they are not all that smart (putting it very very nicely)

anyone notice delivery time….hope your patient….and i quote:

Expected delivery within 3-6 weeks from when the deal ends, subject to availability of the product

  • Crap

  • don't know where the OP got "According to Spreets, it seems you buy the voucher and redeem it on the following site" because I see "Delivery address taken at check out - goods will be shipped automatically" as well as "Please provide your delivery address when purchasing the deal, Grabargains will ship your order automatically and no further redemption is required"

  • the quotes RRP of $299 means there's quite a good saving to be had

If you believe RRPs I have a bridge to sell you. :)

Poor features for an average price.
    These are better:

    Ainol Novo 7 Tornado
    http://www.androidinabox.com/ainol-novo-7-tornado-android-ta…
    $86.99 with 1GB

    Ainol Novo 7 Mars
    http://www.androidinabox.com/ainol-novo-7-mars-android-table…
    $101.99 with 1GB and 1024x600 screen.

    • Ozbargainers love ainol. Would recomend it.

      • So these Ainol tablets are pretty good (for the money)? I just want something reasonably cheap for the kids to play around on - movies, music, games, etc.
Anyone in particular I should look at (or more importantly, avoid)?

        Thanks in advance.

I'd be willing to spend a bit extra and go for the dual-core Ainol tablets:

Ainol Novo 7 Elf II $123.99
      Dual-Core Cortex A9 (up to 1.5Ghz), 8GB ROM, 1GB RAM, 1024x600 screen

or the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora II $155.99, which is the same as the Elf II but with an IPS screen.

And that's just using androidinabox pricing, you can get cheaper with redtabletpc ($115 and $139 for the Elf II and Aurora II respectively), or for even less if you search on Aliexpress

edit: and here's a good deal for the Aurora II that just came up

  • Not really a deal - unless it drops to $70 then I'll start to consider

  • Lololol no.

Even for $50 I wouldnt touch it.

I bought one of these not long ago from spreets.

Took over a month to arrive.

And it is the worse tablet ever.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!

In fact if someone wants my one they can have it for $20

to show you how crap it is the power connector to the pad is flimsy after less than 25 hours of use and has to be angle jsut right to charge.

Spreets are misleading and usually over hype the products/deals they sell. Been burnt twice, never again. This deal will be another waste of cash and time (s l o w delivery). The Ainol tablets mentioned above appear to be the better deal.
