Budget around 1K for an outdoor table (alfresco).
I saw some tables which say "leisure" type. What's the difference between that vs pro or competition tables?
Is Kettler a good brand?

If you get a used one, who would you hire to transport the table?
I am old and have a bad backAirtasker
I'm no professional but if you're enjoying the game on proper tables, they have fantastic bounce and are generally thicker tabletops 24mm?
If you don't care and just plan on playing the game you could probably buy any outdoor table and it'll work.
But these guys were really helpful last time I purchased mine, settled on a more portable 19mm indoor table with a cover

Pro table top is at least 1" thick. Corresponding thick legs to support the table top.
I’ve got a cornilleau outdoor which was less than 1k. Aluminium based and very good.
I have this https://www.k-sports.com/ittf-approved-xu-shao-fa-25mm-champ…
it's decent. It was only $599 in 2017.only annoying thing is it came in one box, not two. the delivery man just got it out of the truck and said he wasn't going to help with it.
so be prepared for things like that.you will probably need to get an outdoor table though which won't be as good.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/765774I'd only buy a proper table tennis table if I was serious about the game, or maybe I'd pick one up if someone were giving away an old one or putting it out for council cleanup.
Otherwise just a net/paddle/ball set & just use any available table in the house. It's a fun game though.
Table Tennis (FTFY) - technically it's the same though.
Make sure you select a table that is rated for outdoors.
Plenty on Facebook marketplace etc going cheap when the novelty wears off.
Get a decent net (Joola) and some legit bats for the best experience.
