Warehouse is in Eastgardens, we don't have a shop front.

FrederickHandel on 08/08/2012 - 22:13 ¶you don't need to JB to watch .avi files if you have the AirVideo app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, because you can then airplay it to the ATV3.

I had a jailbroken ATV2 running Plex and things were fantastic until someone ran an update and there was no JB out yet (and I hated life). Now instead of wasting time messing around with jailbreaks I just spent $5 on the plex app for iPhone/iPad and airplay to the Apple Tv. Works flawlessly and I can update the ATV software right away without having to wait.
(I also have a recent macbook air and airplay mirroring is pretty amazing)

So are you saying that to be able to play movies off your Macbook you need Apple Tv and this plex app? Or is the plex app only if you want to stream movies off your iphone/ipad? Or is it to use the ipad/iphone to select/browse files on your macbook and play them on your television?

Plex is for streaming movies etc form a PC, right?
So for non-supported codecs, you have
PC Transcoding the .mkv stream to an apple supported codec, then sending it via wifi to your ipad/iphone, which then sends over wifi again to your apple TV, which then decodes it?
This is using 3 devices (4 if you count the router) to do the same task.

Not to sound cheap but hey this is ozbargain - can you match this deal?
