I rather pay $40-$70 on special for an icebreaker shirt made not of polyester. You were these for 5 minutes and they stink!
Ever since going to Icebreaker it's hard to find a better thermal. You can literally wear it for weeks and there's absolutely no smell.

Aldi has supposedly 100% Merino wool thermals tomorrow for $35 each (top & pants) - no idea what they are like though.
Merino should be brilliant in theory but who knows

I have two of these units from Aldi from last year (or the one before that) and they are awesome, both were $20 in clearance and one has a zip up polo neck.

I got a bunch of these and they are just OK… Large is undersized (like a M) and the cuffs are so tight that I cannot pull up my sleeves at all (for that outdoorsy look…)

I wore these outside last winter for work, id be standing in the rain and wind for 8 hours and these did the job, never had a problem with smell but also i dont get much BO or sweat, id suggest getting a size up if you get these.
