It's the next fastest gen 4 ssd after 990pro, far as I know
Actually, they trade blows.
The 990 Pro is better for applications that use sequential, the SN850X is for random(boot, background applications).
I think $359 + delivery for the 990 Pro 2TB as far as deals go, is pretty awful.

Any real-world difference in this over a 970 evo for gaming currently?
$265 is still quite a lot for a SSD even though this is performance drive.

SN850X 2TB is $219.01 delivered at Amazon DE via AU. Better deal unless you need the extra speed.
