These claim to be "like-new". Looks like its $9 cheaper than a recent Coles offer of similar models. Gonna grab 2 for the kids.

  • For reference, I bought one a year ago for $380 so it’s a good deal I think

  • Is this ok if i just want it for airtags?

    • +3

If you don't want to share them with anyone else, yes.

(Requires iOS 17 and iPhone 8 won't get iOS 17)

  • +7

You’d be crazy not to spend the $35 for the newer SE with years of updates remaining and double the storage.

    • Same, even though the screen is slightly smaller on the SE.

I snapped the SE, great for tween

  • FYI iOS 17 drops support for iPhone 8 so this won't get any further software updates.

Won't deliver to country VIC for some reason

    • Or south coast nsw for some reason

  • Any one got any idea as to why some items aren't delivered in certain states/suburbs? I haven't come across any issue with liquids/chemicals like others have, yet I can't get the SE delivered in SE (pun not intended) Vic, yet the ACT is fine?

    • +1

      SE what though?

If you're talking about SE Melbourne suburbs, no worries here.

      • Correct, SE Mel, "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."

        • +1

Yeah I'm South East Melb for both addresses, some items will not ship to my house, but will ship to my place of work (industrial factory)

  • I was wondering when will someone post this one? $4 more that the all time low for "renewed" SE 2020 I think.

I was thinking of buying one to use the Apple One India trick. Trouble is I am already using two phones……

  • Cheers. Grabbed SE for Xmas pressie for the tween starting high school next year. Will have to test the battery once it arrives.

    • +1

It says min battery life will be 80% and phone has 6 month warranty.

      • +1

Someone in comment said they got one with poor battery life. With refurbished goods it's always good to buy from company with good return policy.

        • +1

It has a 6 months no questions asked return policy, sounds pretty good to me.

      • +1

Yes, just want to check that it meets that standard once it arrives. Great deal.

Should we make our decision based on a single negative review from last year?

  • Does Apple sell refurbished phones through their channels? I'd trust that more.

    • -1

Have you tried looking at www.apple.com.au?
      (the answer is no)

    • With Amazon you can always return it….

You won't get this price even if Apple sells them.

  • I think all SE 2020 special price stock gone now….

  • Mine came today, battery says 100%, if non apple parts had been used it would say so in the settings right? I have a feeling screen has been replaced

    • I doubt it would report anything about non geniune parts. Used to work in an apple repair shop for years, never heard of such a thing, though that was some time ago.

      • Apparently iOS 15.2 upwards brought in this feature.

If I take it into apple, they'd be able to confirm if original parts?

        • Yeah but they are likely to charge you a fee for it.

Best way to check if screen was replace is to load a colour chart than compare it with a display iPhone SE in Apple shop. I know the current one is SE 2022 but I think the screen is the same (if not very close)

    • Wow that was quick!
