      12x the limit if you trust yourself to not be shaky. 8x or 10x is usually a good balance between zoom and steadiness.

      I would highly recommend 8x for general use handheld.

      10x gives you a little more reach but at the expense of shake.

        Didn't now it was so cheap now, I paid nearly $300 + tripod.
