Refurbished ones are around $369 but they're hard to come by.

    Hasn't this been cheaper before for new ones?

    • $423.54 definitely isn't the cheapest for a brand new S2722QC but it's the best I can find at the moment.

  • +2

    It was $369 on sale @ Dell eBay, but now no more Dell ebay, so this should be the only way to get it cheap?

    • Refurbished is cheaper ($369) if you can wait. Dell Factory Outlet AU (Refurbished): https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/shop/monitors/refurbished-…

      What happened to Dell ebay?

    • +1

      Wonder why they ditched their eBay store, I guess couldn't be bothered running the logistics and maintaining listings etc

      • +2

        I would have thought it was the sellers' fees taking away all the profit…

        • Makes sense, who would want to lose 20% of profits to fees..

    Too expensive.

      Give this a try. I'm using the M1 MacBook Air (8GB / 256GB) and it's been good so far. Had it since 4th April 2022.

      == To get stable 4K/60Hz with USB-C ==
      1. Go into the monitor’s OSD. [All settings should be at Factory Defaults.]
      2. “Display” -> “USB-C Prioritization”
      3. Change to “High Resolution”. [This setting increases the bandwidth used for video at the cost of reducing USB data speeds.]
      4. “Display” -> “Smart HDR”
      5. Make sure it’s set to “Off”. [When it’s set to on, the refresh rate on your monitor will fluctuate and be variable.]
      6. Change the refresh rate from Variable to 60Hz on MacBook

        I’ve never had any issues with mine on Mac, but good to know the above info. 👍

        • +1

          Me too but I've done a bit more research before I got the monitor hence happy to share for anyone who's using M1 / M2 with S2722QC :)

      • +1

        I used to get random flickering after the M1 went idle for a couple minutes and now I don't get it any more. I think the main setting that changed it was the USB-C prioritization to high res. Pretty tempted to replace my aging 27" with another one of these now that the flicker is gone which has been the case for the past couple months.

    Now down to $375.46 after applying the coupon

    • Thanks! I've just updated the post :)

      Thanks @daku, I would be punching myself right now if I ordered a few days ago. So should I wait for a few more days to see whether it will go down more? LOL

      Thanks @davidtse916 for posting this deal.

      • I'll buy one right now if I needed one. Refurbished = $369, brand new is only $6.46 more lol

  • +1

    Have been waiting for this monitor to go on sale for over a year but Dell had other ideas, so I ended up getting a 2 months-run second hand unit off eBay for $275.

    • +1

      $275 is pretty good! Saved $100 compared to a brand new one :)

  • +1

    Is this the best 4k monitor Dell has?
    @davidtse916 thanks for posting!

    • +1

      Thanks @Lola83. Here's my take on Dell monitors: S2722QC < P2723QE (4x USB-A Port + Ethernet) < U2723QE or U3223QE (accurate colour). Of course you're paying top dollars for U2723QE or U3223QE. There are more expensive ones out there for Dell but if you're willing to pay for those, you would have bought one or two already lol.

    1. Who is eligible for Member Purchase Program (MPP) discount?
      To receive the coupon code, you must be an employee of a participant organization. The organization must be enrolled as a member of the Dell Member Purchase Program in Australia.

    It sent me the code even though I don't qualify. Will it get revoked after I buy something?

    • +1

      I'd say probably not. Even Gmail works lol

    • +1

      Don't worry I have received my 2 monitors today.

  • +1

    Bought. Thanks op

    • Enjoy! If you're using a Mac then make sure you read the 'To get stable 4K/60Hz with USB-C' part :)

        Good shout! I've actually ordered 50+ of these in the past for work and we're all Mac – I actually saved your message earlier in case I bump into the issue in the future

        Oh and it arrived already – how good!

        • You guys have 27" 4K at work? Where can I sign up for a job at your place? :p

          I actually bought my own S2722QC to work because work will only provide 24" 1080p monitors only. They can give you a 2k+ laptop but we can't have a $400 monitor :(

        • @JoJoker: quick question, when you guys ordered 50+, did Dell give you guys a bulk buying discount?

          • @davidtse916: We spend so much on software and people that I've insisted we buy hardware that doesn't slow either down – pretty easy business case!

            I've bought them 1-5 at a time over the last few years just as needed for WFH setups or to replace outdated monitors in the office, so no bulk discount. Having said that, I do have a rep that has offered bulk discounts in the past, we just never had a reason to buy that many.

  • I can't get any emails to work for the Member Purchase Program. Anyone else having trouble?

    • I assume you've tried the following option already?

      • Yep, no dice.

    • Looks like they have disabled Gmail / hotmail etc!

  • Did the RRP drop I thought they were around ~430

    • It was at around 430 but yeah the RRP is now closer to 400 without a discount code.
