[NSW, Short Dated] Free 2SAN COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests (Expire Aug 2023) @ O’Connell St Clinic, Sydney CBD

250

Free 2San lyher rapid antigen tests - 12 O’Connell St Sydney in the ground foyer.

Google map link for convenience: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qAdYh1aT3Fm3JzTU8?g_st=ic

They expire “Aug 2023”, which is why I’d say they are getting rid of them.
Edit: despite this, on the tga website it says they’ve extended the shelf life to “24 Months (extended)” - they were manufactured Feb 2022, so should be “good” for another 6 months.

Courtesy of O’Connell medical centre according to the sign.

Don’t be a douche and load up on the whole stash, share ‘em around fellow bargain hunters :P

(No association, just saw them and sharing the love, who doesn’t like free expiring medical products?).

        I don't know why

There are quite a few negging Dan supporters here who are against public libraries that have a role in educating people.

Perfect timing with 3 free fee-free listings on eBay & half-price shipping!

    • +1

Would you sell any with short date though?

      • +1

I best get trying. A user below has stated that the expiry for these has been extended from the actual date on the pack so I feel much better hawking them.

      • +2

perhaps they can answer your question.

        • +1

          Quality.

  • +6

Sweet, now waiting for free toilet paper which are due to expire soon from the hoarding in 2020

  • Don't forget the expiry on medical products that only show a month and year are at the end of the month shown. Some brands have been granted an extension of 3-4 months beyond expiry but I haven't seen that on this brand.

    • +5

Just checked the TGA website and these ones have extended approval to 24 months from manufacturing.

    • -1

Extending the "expiry" on these tests seems silly, because the buffer solution is already evaporating from the product so much that they are unusable.

  • They are giving these away at medical centers. Local GP was giving boxes away too.

  • +3

lol as if people still believe the covid nonsense.

    • +4

careful now, dont want to offend the believers, there are many left on here.

      • +3

they praise pfauci & pfizer everyday for the safe & effective vaccines!

    • -3

Covid is real, it's not as dangerous as before.

      • +2

….best get another booster though. do your part because were all in this together!

    • +6

Yep, it's a conspiracy says these non-medically trained random people online.

    • +3

I never got the covid jab can I go outside yet?

      • +2

no FFS….are you mad??? you will certainly die without the holy elixir coursing through your veins and pounding through your heart!!!

      • +2

You're alive??? How can this be??

    • +3

"CovidIsNotOver" continues to trend on TwitterX and it's full of people posting themselves triple masking, with face shields and gloves when they go outside

They also all have 5 needle emojis in their user name…

    • What's the "covid nonsense" you speak of? Surely you can't be that special to suggest covid doesn't exist…. No one could be that mentally limited. Not even inbred folk…

  • I just threw out 2 pallets of these. They have a stupidly short exp on them. I'd they are like other brands then they should still be good for years

  • -4

Wow those jabs must have worked if we still need to test ourselves.

    • +2

"THEY NEVER SAID IT WOULD STOP TRANSMISSION REEEEEEE33eEEEE"
Believe me bro, don't listen to what the experts said when they first came out.

  • +2

Covid tests are so vintage now, like cassette tapes

    • +2

yeah but cassettes were actually useful back in the day!

      • +1

        Not wrong

  • RATs are useless.
When I had covid on day 1 I tried multiple ones and no test was positive, while the drive-through showed it the same day.
They only showed the obvious on days 3-4 when all the symptoms were soo obvious and actually already easing.
Same for my wife and kids - no results on RAT until its too late.

    • -3

I just tested positive this morning which is the second morning of symptoms after testing negative on the first day. They do work.

      • Oooh oh my

      • +1

easiest 7 days off of your life. Store your positive rats tests for next time you want a few days off

  • +2

    Modern day…Who gives a RATs..

  • +3

OH MAN. WHo even tests for covid anymo?

    Nice find though.

I will take a headache if it's free.

    • I work in health, so everytime get cold/flu I test day 1 and on 3/4 day.
Plus I have huge sick leave, so why wouldnt I want a week off.

      • DAIM SON! I concur with your reasoning.

    • Im immune compromised and have kids going to school - if any symptoms i usuall do a rats test morning and night for 3 days - the earlier you start monoclonal antibody treatment, the better. I suspect there are quite a few at risk people who still use these since PCR covid tests at most places need a bloody referral now.

      • MAkes sense!

  • +1

    What was Covid-19 again ?

    • +1

that crisis that we just couldnt avoid in order to…… get to a 'post-covid' world!!!

  • The Ministry of Health purchased thousands of these for Hospital use during the pandemic. They've been sitting at all NSW Health sites, offices and hospitals for awhile now (for staff). NSW Health started to give them out last month.
    Thank you NSW Health!

    • +3

WE PAID FOR THEM by the way.

      • We also paid big commissions.

  • Geez ozbargain is ruthless lol.

Next deal I’ll offer is free covid to anyone who wants it - when I next catch it, so you can then keep an eye out for some free RAT deals to test yourselves ! :)

No thanks. Thank you for the offer though!

    • holyshit bro…..some of these users might be immuno-compromised and or obese gamers. have you no shame!??

  • +1

Please do not pick and throw these into your rubbish bin. This will end up in landfill.
The businesses need to properly destroy these stuff. They are trying to save disposal costs.

    • +1

Where the hell do you think they normally go? The ocean?

  • +1

….short dated test kits for the deadliest pandemic we have ever seen! this is peak ozbargain/covid!! lol!!!

  • unless you have a job with paid sick leave , i think people just go to work ….. some of the coughs and sniffles i see on the train people might be going to work sick ….. giving colleagues a chance for some sick leave …..

  • exactly the same ones — with identical expiry dates — that you can get for free from the city councils in vic

  • Amazing how quickly deals like this bring out the same pureblood trolls, anxious to expound their superior scientific knowledge time and time again.

No-one is forcing them to take advantage of the deal, nor to post their comments, which add nothing.
