Damn should have got this instead of the Aquatak 130 from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/804564

    • +1

Why? I thought Bosch is better. and the difference is just $10

      • This one's 500 PSI higher if that makes much of a difference

        • +1

Don't be fooled by the pressure on the product description. Almost all companies advertise the maximum pressure which is usually meaningless. You have to dig a bit to find the actual operating pressure.

FYI, the Ozito mentioned has an operating pressure of 1600psi. I believe the Bosch 130 is about 1800psi. Flow rate (l/min) is about the same I think.

          • @Cheapo Moose: Bosch listed with Maximum pressure of 130 bar (1885psi) - please provide reference to Bosch operating pressure?

According to the Bosch Universal Aquatak 130 user manual the Allowable (I read Max.) pressure is 13MPa and the Rated pressure is 9MPa which by my reckoning puts the Bosch at a lowly Rated pressure of 1305psi

      • +1

Higher PSI, longer hose, better flow rate and the included patio cleaner. And the return policy for Ozito products is great.

        • -4

don't look at the max PSI and flow but rated. The Bosch is better

          • @Winston100s: By which measure is the Bosch better?

According to the Bosch Universal Aquatak 130 user manual the Allowable (I read Max.) pressure is 13MPa and the rated pressure is 9MPa which by my reckoning puts the Bosch at a lowly rated pressure of 1305psi

Where as the Ozito has Rated Pressure of 11MPa (1595psi)

  • Newer higher wattage and pressure version by the looks that includes some accessories. Longer hose and extra 1L/min flow rate too.

I've been happy with the previous one which I've had for a couple of months now and used for the drive way and deck…but you know i'd rather the latest model :p

  • I bought the old one and paid extra $30 for patio cleaning attachment :(

    • Hows the patio cleaning attachment? Keen on getting one for cleaning our alfresco. Cheers

      • Patio cleaners only really work on bigger units (petrol powered). These base model electric pressure washers will work but probably just as quick as using a normal nozzle attachment. TL;DR - gimmick.

      • Its basic

  • Is this the standard price or a sale?

  • Can confirm, these suck

    • +4

      you mean blow right?

  • +1

Where does the red battery go?

    • Dunno if you're being serious or not. But just in case you are (or someone reading this legit wants to know) this aint part of the PXC (PowerXChange) range, which are all Red. Anything Ozito that is Grey has a cord, so needs a power point 🤓

  • Does this model support snow foam? If so, what do I need for it?

    Thanks!

    • Photo looks like it comes with ones now 🤷🏾‍♂️

  • Cool thanks

  • I have no experience in pressure washer, how does this compare to this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/778935?
Ryobi's $69 one seems to be very popular.

    • +1

      apples v oranges - depends on your use case;
Ryobi: 1450psi(max) / 1160psi (rated) with 5m high pressure hose + hand brush attachment ($69) has been $49 before
Ozito: 2320psi(max) / 1595psi (rated) with 8m high pressure hose + patio cleaning attachment ($129)

      • Thanks I saw the numbers, but couldn't really translate to how big the differences are?
What would be some typical use cases for the two?

        • +1

I'll leave this for others to comment as my experience is limited.

Personally I prefer to have a more powerful for heavy cleaning of paths/shovels/trailer etc and you can always move further away or use lighter spray/mist for more delicate tasks (fly screens / cars, etc).

  • Careful with this one.

It's been this price for while, since the recent Aldi high pressure washer came out. So a week or two.

It's listed as a higher psi than the $99 ozito (which is a rated 6L / min), but this more expensive one has a rated 5.8L / min.

And by all reports, liters per minute is more important than outright psi ratings (a high pressure mist won't help you).

liters per minute is more important than outright psi ratings

Yes, flow rate is a good indicator of performance here. Higher the better.
However, that 0.2L / min doesn't seem like a huge difference to justify a neg.

      • -1

        It's the standard price.

It claims a misleading higher spec.

Buyers would get the same or better performance from the cheaper one.

The only bonus is the extra accessories. The patio cleaner rrps for about $30, so same or similar total price to if you ordered individually.

        • +2

          Foam bottle, longer hose.

But lets not that let that get in the way of your bias.

        • +2

The longer hose is a huge plus, I have the $99 and need to move it constantly to wash my car. A longer hose will hopefully make that a better experience.

  • Damn.. should've got this. Hopefully back in stock soon 🤞
