  • Just FIY, this is the OG Homebase and there's a HB3 (third iteration) in stores already, with 4K cams.

Doesn't make it less of a bargain here.

    • Which model would you recommend?

      • I run a mix of both on my Homebase 3. If you just need cameras, the 1080p version is fine. The quality of the 4k version is only slightly better and I find I need to charge them more often (but that may be due to where I have them - more motion/recording)

    • I have the Eufy 2C (1080p) with the OG homebase - working perfectly fine for 2+ years now. Very occasional glitches that require a restart of the homebase. Charge the cameras every 5-8 months depending on location/usage

The 4 camera pack at $539 (including homebase) is great value, but getting Bunnings to price beat the 2 camera pack is awesome if you don't need 4 cameras!

  • Thanks OP, got Bunnings to price beat.
This is my first ever security cam buy.

    • Price beat can only be done in store yeah?

      • Yeah, I dropped by my nearest bunnings which had these in stock and asked them if they can price beat..
The cashier checked with her manager and said they can, and gave me for $285.71

  • What is the go with charging, you just take them down then plug in for a few hours when you don't think you'll need recording capability?
How long can you retain recording for?

    • Recording as long as there is space on the home base storage. I have not run out of storage space in >6 months. I periodically clear storage twice a year.
Charging = takes 6-8 hours. I take down all the cameras on a weekend when I'm home, charge during the day (solar panel) and then connect them again that same afternoon.. Good to go for another few months

      • Thanks, i ordered from supercheap as they price matched Bunnings (who still had this pricing) + 7% discount card from health provider

Ideally wanted the 4 cam option but all those prices went up

        • Shame SCA does not "price beat"!!
4 camera pack (2C 1080p) was $539 yesterday.. JB has the improved version (2k) for $799. I got it for $700 via price beat/JB deal so if you still want that, you could always return/cancel SCA order

          • +1

@ilikedeals: yeah i saw the pricing last night, snoozed and hoped that it would be still at $539 this morning but no matter
will see how the 2 camera setup goes for now
