The deal is available via the MyMaccas app for $6.90. You can also order the deal at McDonald's without the app but for an extra $1.
This is better value than the loose change. Feeling rippedoff
I feel like calling $8.95 "loose change" was a contentious move. Let alone making it a deal for potentially 2 cheeseburgers and a small fries/drink.
Maybe in 10 years from now, with inflation, loose change will be $19.95.
I think call it Mc"value" meal would have less backlash.

Back in the day almost all English speaking countries, including Australia called lunch dinner. Dinner was supper. Because lunch during the day was usually peoples biggest meal back then. Supper became coffee or tea with biscuits, as people didnt want another heavy meal before bed. Thats why Aussies call dinner tea. Ive heard it even from many immigrant families, I refuse to call it tea lol
I think you'll find that the majority of aussies don't call dinner tea! Although the postman who asked my girlfriend out on a date does apparently haha.

So it sounds like they are passing some savings of having to pay way less staff due to automation/kiosks and app.
Before the kiosks, the loose change menu was available all the time. Now its only on the app and only appears occasionally or during certain monthly promotions.
We only have KFC when they had those $11 9-piece deal. At other times, too expensive for us.
My local McDonald’s doesn’t accept app deals anymore. If you order via the app it won’t go through, and the kiosks don’t let you use a code or log in with a MyMacca’s app.

Just tried to order this one. Order blocked. “Sorry your online payment cannot be processed at this time. Please visit the restaurant. (F31092)”. I know if I go in the kiosks will barely work and won’t let you login.
I've had this happen a few times but the store has since made themselves available for the app again.
I did an in-app order, either using a deal or just normal, and selected the store even though it was unavailable or closed.
You'll get a 4 letter code at the end of your order.
I told them the code and it was all good.
I figured at the time, the alternative was I just get a refund, but hope this works for you.

Please check your MyMacca's App reward points each time you use it to order. You should get 100 points for every dollar you spent. However, it seems the MyMacca's App has an issue to calculate the reward points correctly recently, e.g. with $22 spend, the app only gives you 1000 points instead of 2200 points.

No, because the order machine had problem to print out my receipt, I do not have the order number to log a support call with them.
Takes 2 weeks for each reply via email support anyway. Too much hassle to chase up points imo
Speaking of points, I have 2500 plus 1000 bonus if I buy this deal. It means a free iced mocha and 1/2 iced mocha for the future use. Hard to resist :)

I did and claimed my iced mocha this evening.
To my surprise, i got my bonus points with this deal this morning (1000 bonus points for $5+ spend) with the last 2 times only buying happy meals (with the same bonus points bonus) and not getting the points without chasing it up for weeks, it was nice to just get what i was promised without a hassle
i havent got that extra bonus for couple months now. im pretty sure they updated it so you only receive with mobile order, yet whenever i tried ordering it with that bonus it always said cannot order online see desk and they manually process it resulting in not bonus anyways.

Yup got the 2 there now with in app $6.90 but initially there was only the one.
My app has 2 deals, one for $6.90 (in app payment only), and one for $7.90.
My app says small drink, medium fries when selecting the options. Winning!

You do realise that Quarter Pounders has a 1/4 pound meat patty on them right? Has been that way ever since they were invented. Sorry to tell you mate but sounds like you just have more of an appetite now than you used to. The burger has not changed.
