  • Can I stack this deal with the 8 weeks free promo?

    • unlikely through reading the terms and condtions on the link. Will be interested if i am wrong.

  • I got it down to $$389 per month

    • For max points?

      • was showing as 95k

  • +2

Great deal to rotate through. Happens every few months. Signed up for 150k in November and will receive them next week. Third time I’ve done it in 12 months.

    • Just worked out the dates, points in 60 days. Then swap to Qantas health insurance by 5 april for another 140k for max cover.

      • Nice. I can’t do Qantas for another 10 months, and waiting until June/July to be eligible for Medibank again, hopefully for 140k Velocity.

        • Has Qantas changed their T&Cs? Used to say points award held at 60 days. Now it doesn’t mention that.

  • $400 a month for a pensioner' ? How can 1 in a mess afford that and the gap ? Any alternatives please ? As public patients the specialists are specialists at gaslighting ya and easily move on without any emotion ! Broken arse expert talking .

Is it ok to churn evry few months or at least twice a year to get benefits of various offer from different providers? Is there any cons with that?

    • +1

No cons, just beware of companies who are underwritten by another main provider.

  • Is this applicable for visitor insurance (my relative visiting for 3 months on tourist visa)? Or any other offer for such insurance?

  • So you would have to pay nearly $1000 in premium for 2 months to be eligible for $750 worth of points? Wouldn't this deal work out better?

  • The condition says need to pay by direct debit. I wonder if that also applies to using a credit card as payment? Presumably we’re still paying in advance using a credit card. On the payment page, direct debit requires a bsb and account number. Not sure if they would deny the points if using a credit card as payment method.

    • I just chatted to them, they said credit card is fine. Also you must start by 28th March, perfect timing for me :)

      • Just to confirm, I was told on the phone, and now on chat, you have to start by Feb 28 - did you get written confirmation from them you can start by 28th March?

        • +1

          I have a screenshot saying

you need to sign up before 28th Feb, and have a policy start date before 28th March to be eligible

          • @fozzie: Cheers. Maybe I have to try it with a different agent. I have to wait until early March to get my voucher from another fund lol.

            • @JohnHowardsEyebrows: No worries. I’m just double checking with their WhatsApp. On the website it just says take out by 28/2/24 so wording it’s not clear.

              • +1

@fozzie: Hi John. Turns out I was given the wrong information!!!! What the heck not a good start with Bupa.

                • +1

@fozzie: Yeah, I'm sure there's an angle in there if you're able to sign up with a forward date, using the code, but that'd probably mean having to hold the cover longer while they work through the complaint.

                  • +1

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: Thanks for just asking! I am now going with St Lukes. They are offering 6 free weeks after 1 month payment. Will not even start BUPA as without the points not worth it.
