  • How is this compare with xiomai At 7000 which was posted recently from aliexpress.com

  • Possible price beat at Office works to $331.55 (depending on who you talk to)

Good for those with fly buys and or gift cards to use as well

    • I got it for $331.55 at JB with discounted gift cards :)
Price beating at Officeworks is not easy.

      • +2

Tell me about it man, once I tried price beating an Apple pen from Amazon and Office works claimed “its probably a price error, we can’t price beat that” so I just said “fine I’ll order through the phone” magically 10 secs later they said they actually can lol

  • Would a normal user who just uses this for normal Pc use, streaming, downloading and gaming notice much difference with this compared to a normal router?

    • What is a normal router?

      • Like something an ISP would bundle with your internet.

        • Depends on how picky you are and how bad your ISPs router is.
          Probably yes though.

        • Ya.

That will be fine.. unless you have a lot of people sharing and requires QoS to balance gaming and all, a normal one will do fine.

Do look into getting a mesh system if you need wifi through more than 2 walls thought.

        • Yes, if you like streaming things to multiple devices, you are most likely going to see a difference.

          • @bargain ben: Thanks all.

So something like Playstation ps5 remote play would be minimal lag with this.

Assuming ps5 is plugged into ethernet.

  • Waiting for the Bald Eagle model.

    .. cause..'Murica!

  • Is this better than an Asus router?

    • +1

I am replacing an Asus router which this model. ASUS ones seem as buggy as hell.

  • +1

    Very happy with this router.

  • Would anyone recommend this over the TP-LINK AXE5400 DECO-XE75(2-PACK) which is $345 on the good guys commercial.

  • +1

Anyone used it with a Quest 2?

  • Is this nbn compatible? FTTB

      • +1

HFC, FTTC, Wireless and FTTP all don’t require a modem as an NTD is provided.

Only FTTN and FTTB require a VDSL modem.

    • Yes it's compatible with all NBN variants. I am using it currently on HFC NBN and will be changing soon to FTTP NBN which it's also compatible with… It can do PPPoE logins.

  • I have this router. Its chipset is really solid. No complaints. Have about 35 devices continuously connected.

  • I have a Billion BiPac 8700AXL that's seems to be struggling with the amount of devices connected to it. Can this hold the load of 20 devices with sufficient strength of signal on a 120sqm area? (HFC @ 100/40 Superloop)

    • The person have connects 35 devices simultaneously to theirs, you would be good with 20 devices. The specs indicate you can do 8 simultaneous Ultra HD streams with it.
