if i used to be a customer, but since moved to another company. would i be eligible?

    • No harm in trying… what’s the worse that can happen?

    • +1

Should be able to - they're pretty flexible when it comes to that kinda stuff. As long as you got a code, it gets applied and that's it. That's how it went for me anyway (through their chat system).

    • yup no issues, u're eligible if you have yello and the coupon code. they may ask you for the screenshot of the coupon to prove it's your account.

  • I had a call with commbank customer care being homeowner I couldn't see the 40% code, she couldn't provide any justification except saying the system decides what code you should get so there's nothing they can do about it and I'll have to accept 30% only

    • Yep, blame it on the system.

    • i had a credit card offer with them in past to (like get $X cashback if spend $Y at Store A)
I activated and it never came, their CS was pretty useless for me too.

Is this eligible for Current MORE NBN users?

    • I've been on 30% for 2 years from their initial offer (without a code), then upgraded the plan with a code I received through yello for another year of 30% off. Now I'm apparently eligible for another 40% off code. Pondering whether I can keep the same plan and use the code for further 10% off.. then again I need to do a change of current plan to initiate the order..

      • do you not have do stupid 30X card transaction each month?

    • Yes as they are seperate. I want from Tangerine to MORE once I used up my Tangerine discount.

    • +1

Yes. I previously was on 30% off and when i received 35% off i got on their chat system via web browser and rep applied the one off yello code to my account.

      • thanks! i'll probably do this before the current yello promotion end date.

        • +1

Np. Keep in mind however if your code has a number 0 or capital O to make sure you give them the correct one. Supply a screenshot if you have too as you will not receive a confirmation email to say it's applied successfully or unsuccessful, you won't know until you receive your bill.

    • I'm a current MORE NBN user, paying $79.20 monthly for NBN50. I opened the Commbank app and got the code, then went to More website and asked their agent to help applying the code. Apparently the agent said this offer can be apply if customer will open a new connection and cannot be applied under existing address. Can you guys confirm if this is correct? I have read the Ts&Cs and cannot find anything mentioned about existing address so I assume I'm eligible.

      • +1

        Not correct.

FYI, yesterday I went on live chat and informed the agent that I would like to cancel my current plan and open a new connection with my partner's unique code (I am not eligible for the offer, but my partner is). The agent told me not to worry about it and asked for my partner's unique code, then manually applied it to my account.

You might have to try another agent.

        • +2

Thanks, unlucky the agent I chatted to was helpless. He kept insiting me that I have to put in another address for the offer. In the end I ended the chat and I managed to do it myself. I used the Commbank code to link with a More landing page, entered the code, put in the address and ordered from there. Now my new order is processing. Hopefully they won’t stuff it up with my current plan.

      • Yep same experience

      • Mine was more confusing, asked them on 05 March, they said I am eligible (Current more customer) through online chat.
After a few days, no change on my next bill.
Ask again today, and told me its for new connection.

        :S

I guess I will churn to another provider.

        • +2

You don’t actually have to churn.

You can cancel (which is instant) then submit an order for a new plan with the deal. There is a gap in service for day or so while you wait to get reconnected, but whole thing is pretty easy.

          • @GreenPlastic: That's great.

Good to know, let me try to cancel it and re-order with them.

            Fingers crossed hopefully it works.

            • +1

@johnyiu: Can confirm it works; I cancelled this morning, re-signed up with the code minutes later. Took around 4 hours to get reconnected.

              • @GreenPlastic: I asked the CS staff the same, they say even you cancel the current contract and sign a new one, it doesn't work if you put in the same address.
I tried to do it mysefl, using the code from the landing page and put in the new order, the new order went through and I got email said my connection is completed. However the bill won't reflect anything and I'm still charged the same. I went to CS to ask again and they confirmed the discount code only works with new connection and new address.

                • @anthonyng19: Not what I was told! It says nothing about new address in the terms and conditions. Only new connection. I have the chat transcript that explicitly says cancelling and reconnecting is a valid way of using the discount.

              • @GreenPlastic: Hey mate, could you please share what day of the week you did this?
Also what time you submitted the cancellation, and what time the new plan get activated?
Just checking this as I wanted to do the same. Cheers.

Last week, I was able to combine this deal(35% off) with 3 months free listed here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/808974

    • My 3 months is expiring soon and I have a code ready in preparation for this but would you mind telling me how to put in the code after the 3 months is up? I can't seem to figure out how to switch to the 35% discount. Thanks in advance

      • +2

Chat with their support team. They will apply your promo code for a discount.

    • Mine was 3 4 months for $86, since I forgot to cancel / downgrade to a lower speed tier.

I am a CommBank customer and recently signed up to More’s ‘3 Months Free nbn® Plan Fees’ offer. Once this offer is complete can I move to a Yello offer?

Yes, you can move from the ‘3 Months Free nbn® Plan Fees’ offer to a Yello promotion provided you meet the eligibility requirements of the Yello offer and have not reached the limit of 2 nbn® services receiving a CommBank offer per account.
For full Terms and Conditions for each Yello offer, please see: www.more.com.au/policies

  • +1

Do they actually check you fulfil the transaction criteria every month?

  • +1

Never able to get commbank yello after feel is eligible. Sigh.

  • +5

I'm on 3 months free atm and not very impressed with the service as many dropouts during the meetings

  • +2

Is there a cheap way to be eligible for these? Their debit accounts even have a monthly fee, along with all of their credit cards.

Any workarounds that anyone knows of?

    • +1

Under 30 or deposit $2k per month. I used it as my billing account which converts my monthly minimums- rent, power, phone etc.

    • +2

I setup auto transaction of $2k in and out of the account a few days apart to bypass the account keeping fees.

      Q. As I only have the CommBank account for this offer, can I setup 30x 1c transactions out to meet the Yello Everyday Plus requirements

      • Clever!

      • I did the bpay i did the payid, both are not eligible. Need to be card card transactions of 30. How the heck can make 30 transactions each month. Crazy

        • +3

Stand at a Coles self serve checkout for 10 minutes

        • That's a shame. I've been using More for almost two years now. First 12 months on NBN follow by 4G Home Broadband. The 4G works out to be cheaper and faster.

        • Payments or transfers to a third party:
Payments or transfers to an account where you’re the account holder, joint account holder or a cardholder are not considered a payment or transfer to a third party.

Payments or transfers to accounts that are associated with your customer record (but where you are not the account holder) are not considered payments or transfers to a third party. For example, if you’re a director of a business and make payments between your individual account and business account, or are a signatory or authorised third party on an account, including under a power of attorney

Sounds like in theory, you can send to your partner/parent/friend 30x $1 transaction and they send back one $30 transaction should be enough to meet the requirements.

          • @thangcuoi: It didn't Work. I tried. It has to be card payment..

            • @Zeee: Seems misleading to me as the terms state outbound transactions. Not outbound card transactions. I've also met the eligibility criteria with them but not received yello access.

          • @thangcuoi: Just want to confirm that I was able to activate Yello by transferring 5x $1 transactions from my CommBank account to my partner's ANZ account.

The transactions were all done on the one day.

It took a whole month (new month?) for the Yello to be activated.

      • I've heard you can via beem, but never tried myself

      • +3

30 x $1 Amazon gift card from Amazon.
Will see if my eligibility moves to 40% first week of next month.

          • @SES: Ok now I am in 'Home owner benefits' which now giving me 40% off.

Just that I am an existing More nbn customer, need to find a way to minimise internet interruption if to cancelling and re-sign up the plan with More.

@One2Share: [09/04/2024 15:11:21] John: Hi, welcome to Customer Service. My name is John. I hope you're doing great today How can I help you?

[09/04/2024 15:11:42] Visitor: I have the Commbank Yello offer for 40% off. I am an existing More customer. I am looking to cancel my plan then re-sign up with the 40% voucher code. How long to get my internet back up if I were to cancel my plan and re-sign up on a SUNDAY? Reason is I wanted to minimise the internet interruption. Thanks

[09/04/2024 15:12:23] John: hi there mate, that's the only option for you to have the discount, unfortunately we cannot minimize the interruptions, reactivation will take 24 hours for the new order.

[09/04/2024 15:13:42] Visitor: Thanks, just confirming do you guys activate new plan on Saturdays or Sundays? Not only weekdays?

[09/04/2024 15:14:08] Visitor: And is that 24 hours or just during business hours?

[09/04/2024 15:14:40] John: It is during business hours only, and monday-saturday

[09/04/2024 15:15:11] Visitor: Ok got it. Thank you

        • unless you have a home loan too with them, the best you would get is 35%. I also contemplating doing this (thanks) but can i then withdraw that money into my bank account like instantly, also from my all the readings, the code should pop up in a few days in the app. I guess from there it's a matter of CS being cooperatively applying to existing plan or cancel and set up using a new email address to sign up as 'new customer' but I guess best to do it at the end of your billing cycle cause they don't refund the unused credits. Happy to be corrected by anyone. cheers

        • I did this last month, still no eligibility yet. Anyone else?

          • @mickmac: Yeah the support says it can take 1 or 2 previous month to be eligible…which not mention anywhere in the yello faq

            • @eecchhoo: Dam thats BS. Thanks for the clarification.

          • @mickmac: Takes 2 months of meeting criteria to be eligible

            • @nicholasv: I received it last night. So less than a month after the 30x $1 amazon transactions.

              • @mickmac: did you just buy amazon gift cards for $30? 'merged them all into' yeah? cheers

                • +1

                  @SES: 30x $1 transactions

                  • @mickmac: you get 35% every month, just confirming before I do sown the afterpay router, cheers

                    • @SES: I haven't signed up for this offer, don’t need NBN. But yes, the 35% is there.

      • you can literally just drop 2k and instantly take it out and you will got charged the 4$ admin fee .

How to make 30 transactions every month? Any hack?

    • Afterpay 30x 1c transactions. Will take a while but easy

      • Any surcharge… ? Can we do that? How?

        • No surcharge. Just do a manual payment on afterpay for one of your transactions. Pretty easy to navigate on their website

          • @nicholasv: Thanks. Let me buy something on afterpay

            • @Zeee: hey mate did it work? cheers

              • @SES: I didn't try… Sorry

                • @Zeee: Hey did you give it a try? I might try it out myself and haven't found something to buy via afterpay hah

                  • @SES: I've done it for several months and it works

      • Do 30x bpay transfers work?

        • +1

Don't think counts as eligible transaction. Check Commbank website

        • +1

          No

      • Does CBA count that towards the stupid 30+ outbound card transactions requirement for 35% off? Cheers, also I take this will be need to be every month yeah or just a one off?

        • +1

Yes, it is a card transaction so it counts. And every month

          • @nicholasv: Cheers mate, I saved from death stares or looking suss when scanning shit individually lol. I owe ya one. Thanks

    • Opal travel with your credit card? If you are from NSW.
Then add a few Woolworths/Coles/ALDI/Maccas should be over 30

  • +3

More is absolutely, categorically the worst NBN provider i've ever been with and you actually couldn't pay me to go back with them.

    • +2

Never had any issues with them other than at the start when I needed them to boot my ghost connection off… since then no issues.

What was your issue with them?

      • -1

Regardless of what i did with them, i always had a bad IP. Multiple websites wouldnt load at all (cashrewards for example), and i was not in Australia for the purpose of viewing iView or similar things.

Something very dodgy about Vocus IPs, they seem to have a lot of bad ones. I would have them reset it and it would fix the prob but it would always come back after 2 months or so. Was a nightmare the "discounted" time i spent with them.

I realise others didnt have this prob but i did and have never had it before or since with any other ISP, of which ive been with many, it was specific to More.

      • +1

Me too. Been with them for about 9 months now, and never had an issue.

    • More is heaven compared to my previous terrible ISP MyRepublic.

    • I switched from ABB 100/40 to More 100/40 last week. I didn't notice any major difference yet. Uploads are the same, ABB's download on speedtest was usually 110Mbps, More is 101Mbps.
The valid ip address with more is fine whereas I had to ask ABB to disable CGNAT.
      So far so good.

    • +1

Been with them for ~2 years. Never had an issue. Recently upgraded to FTTP with them and can't fault them at all.

  • -1

    Its not 1000/50 its 400/50
    Confirms when you sign up

    • +2

The 400/50 is average evening speeds, mine is consistently above 900. Most likely dependent on your POI

  • +2

Anyone care to share their experience with More? Peak speeds/ dropout rates?

    • +1

My experience has been great with them so far.

    • Been with them for 1.5 years, no issues so far

    • I've been with them for about 12mths. Organised the free FTTP installation, always sits at the 100mb, i don't experience drop outs at all. I'd recommend them.
